About the adventure

A ridiculously fun and silly 1-3 shot (written by the amazing Ivan Antanasov). You are all kobolds, part of the Red Scales clan, and heroes in this tale of conflict deep under the dragon's lair. Your dragon queen has disappeared, and those nasty kobolds from the Blue Scale clan are trying to take the hoard and the power for themselves. No matter whether you choose to fight them in honor of your queen, or try to take the hoard for yourselves, you must stop them!

How to prepare

- You can prepare for the by having a (free) D&D Beyond and Roll20 account ready. I will also be using Syrinscape for music. The app is free, but I can also share the sound through discord or another service, so it can be optional. - Please have a working mic/headset ready. I will be using a webcam, so if you have one, that's even better! I prefer to use discord, however, we can use the built-in Roll20 chat or Google Meet as well. - You may use any method of dice-rolling you want, whether that be on D&D Beyond, Roll20 or physical dice (honor system). I will always help new players with characters and dice rolling, but I tend to leave the actions/abilities/rolls up to the players, and rarely look.

What I provide

I will provide: - All officially published content and character options on D&D Beyond. - Maps, scenes, tokens, puzzles, handouts, etc. on Roll20 - A friendly, welcoming style of gameplay, where creativity is celebrated, as long as it's not too outside of the rules and dice still decide the outcome.

Gameplay details

In games that I run, I strive to make character backstories a main plot of the adventure, and give as much room to explore the world as possible. That means a lot of roleplaying between NPCs and the other characters. I love the idea of combat, but also feel like it can drag, taking too much time and immersion away from the story, so I try my best to find ways to make it both engaging and/or fast-paced, using a few homebrew rules such as "mobs and minions" or "skill challenges" instead of always straightforward combat. Creative solutions are always welcome at the table, provided the rolls are in favor :D Mystery and clue-gathering is preferred over puzzles, but there will be a little of everything, depending on what players enjoy the most. As some parts of this campaign lean into cosmic horror, there will be themes of insanity, violence, death, and psychological elements. What there WON"T be is: overly graphic or suggestive situations, loss of player agency for story-sake, or tolerance of such things from other players. If there is anything specific that a player does not want in the campaign, I will try to work with them to the best of my ability.

How will character creation work

I can help with character-making on D&D Beyond beforehand if needed. This is a Lv5 one-shot, so at least a little experience is preferred, and of course characters should be finished beforehand.

Players can expect

  • Combat/Tactics: Medium
  • Roleplay: Medium
  • Puzzles: Low
  • Experience Level: Beginner
