About the adventure

Have you ever wanted to know more about Forgotten Realms cosmology? Visit Sigil and the planes but use the more up to date mechanics of DnD 5e? Experience the weird of Sigil the city of doors? Now is your chance! Planescape is a campaign setting for the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game, originally designed by Zeb Cook. The Planescape setting was published in 1994. As its name suggests, the setting crosses and comprises the numerous planes of existence, encompassing an entire cosmology called the Great Wheel, as originally developed in the original 1987 Manual of the Planes by Jeff Grubb. This includes many of the other Dungeons & Dragons worlds, linking them via inter-dimensional magical portals (wikipedia). What makes this campaign unique? - I will dm official content for Planescape updated to DnD 5e - I am a LGBT-friendly DM (and myself part of the community), and my purpose is to create a friendly, safe space at the table - every character will have their own story arc, taking us further and further into personalized arcs the more we play - a romance arc for your character is something you may request from me and I will happily do it - lots of maps and art on roll20 - you will get to know the world of DnD like never before

Additional Details

How to prepare

The player should have a mic and discord. Camera is not required, but I would really appreciate it, because seeing you helps me dm (I know when you want to say something and can't because the others are talking). This time around I require basic knowledge of DnD 5e. I will not be explaining the rules of the game, take a look at my beginner campaigns, if that is what interests you. You do not need to play a class you have played before, but I would like you to read up on what your class does.

What I provide

I will bring all the necessary knowledge and materials on roll20. There will be maps and illustrations.

Gameplay details

At my table combat is not the most important thing, the roleplay is. I however do include combat and listen to the dice. There will be a lot of exploring and learning new lore.

How will character creation work

At the first session there will be session 0 and then 3 hours of adventure. Just think about what kind of character you want to play. We start before getting to Sigil, so everything will be new for the character. We start at level 1.

Players can expect

  • Combat/Tactics: Medium
  • Roleplay: High
  • Puzzles: Low
  • Experience Level: Beginner
