About the adventure

In Menace Under Otari, you'll play a group of local adventurers taking on a job to maintain the peace in your small seaside hometown of Otari. Rumor has it that there's trouble underneath the Otari fishery, and you're the one that Tamily Tanderveil, the owner, has reached out to! In this game, you will: ⚔ Learn to play Pathfinder 2e in a series of encounters designed to teach you the basics ⚔ Face a wide array of obstacles, from varied creatures to traps and environmental dangers ⚔ Gain power, wealth, and prestige as you begin your adventuring career! Pre-made characters are provided!

How to prepare

A microphone is necessary, a webcam is optional. Reading the rules ahead of time is a plus, but I'll be perfectly willing to help people learn during the course of play. You will need to make an account at https://forge-vtt.com/ and also have a Discord account to join the server I'll run the game through. The link to the server will be provided on booking. Other than that, nothing is required accept for a good attitude.

What I provide

I'll be hosting the VTT for the game, as well as playing some setting-appropriate music. I'll be focusing on quick pacing, as well as making sure everyone gets a chance in the spotlight.

Gameplay details

X Cards can be spoken aloud or messaged privately if you wish. We will have a short break (5-10 minutes) approximately halfway through the game to use the bathroom or get a snack/drink.

How will character creation work

The purpose of this game is to learn to play over the course of 1 or 2 sessions, so we will not be creating characters—players will be able to choose from the selection of pre-made characters for the adventure.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
