About the adventure

Learn to play Mekton Zeta, the Anime Mecha RPG! We're going back to the 80's-90's-era Battletech, where the 'Mechs were whatever artists wanted them to be, and planets got turned to glass at the drop of a hat. Pilots of all kinds of crazy are allowed in, from those driving melee specialist light mechs to putting too many missiles on a mech with no armor.

How to prepare

Discord is non-negotiable. Reading the rules beforehand is not so necessary as I shall walk each player through the basic rules as we create characters.

What I provide

The contents of the Core Rulebook, Mekton Zeta Plus, and a rules reference will all be accessible through Foundry during play. I run Foundry with a lot of convenience feature modules for ease of play.

Gameplay details

Players can expect giving 5-minute descriptions of their ultimate move, while the enemy spends another 5 minutes describing how their armor will not ever give in to such a pitiful attack.

Content warnings

    (none)

Safety tools used

  • Debriefing

  • Lines and Veils

How will character creation work

I will talk with players as they come in to discuss characters and their Mechs, then keep a list of "general builds" to ensure not everyone brings a missile boat or a Gundam.

Players can expect

  • Combat/Tactics: Medium

  • Roleplay: Medium

  • Puzzles: Low
