About the adventure

Come play D&D in this modern classic adventure! You have been hired by your friend Gundren to the town of Phandalen. Join other adventurers to discover what secrets the town holds and what sort of adventure your dwarf friend has in store for you and your newfound friends! This game is open to everyone who wants to play, whether you're new to Dungeons and Dragons, coming back to it after some time away, or just need a new group to play with! My goal is to make this an easy way for you to have some fun with your character and help you with anything you might need.

How to prepare

Please have a decent mic and Discord to chat as well as access to a computer that can view maps on Owlbear Rodeo. A webcam is optional but not required. We will roll using the Avrae bot on Discord.

What I provide

I will provide The Players Handbook. Any material published by Wizards of the Coast may be used. I will also be bringing maps that I will post for everyone to use during combat and for rough overviews like town maps, region maps, etc.

Gameplay details

We will be playing with a combination of theater of the mind (I describe the scene your characters see before them and you tell me how they interact) and Owlbear Rodeo; a simple virtual tabletop web app that will have maps, grids, and tokens for combat. In session 0 we will go over Lines and Veils and talk about how to best communicate with me about the content of the game. Following each session, I'll check in with everyone, not just to make sure everyone was having fun, but also to make sure everyone feels comfortable.

How will character creation work

Characters will start at level 1. We will create them together in our Session 0 using D&D Beyond. I will provide The Players Handbook. Any material published by Wizards of the Coast may be used.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
