About the adventure

The Radiant Citadel was founded long ago by 27 great civilizations - a mysterious place of great knowledge. Over time, the Radiant Citadel faded into obscurity. It was reestablished almost 300 years ago as a refuge for explorers, adventurers, philosophers, refugees, and many others seeking a home. But only fifteen of the once great founding civilizations have returned. As its population grows and knowledge is regained, things are not as they once were. Arayat, head of the Radiant Citadel's elite warriors and protectors, the Shieldbearers, is sworn to an ancient oath: only rescue those in need, only defend when attacked, and leave all realms as they are found. Arayat has decided a shield is no longer enough for today's world - a dagger is needed, one that can move about, unnoticed.

Gameplay details

At session 0 we will be discussing what we are all comfortable with at the game table as well as how the saftey tools of are used during a session, including safety cards, consent list, and open door for players. At the end of every session there will be a debriefing wrapped up with stars and wishes so that players can converse relax and go over what was enjoyable, what wasn't, and what they hope to see in future sessions. There are multiple homebrew rules that I like to use that I feel add flavor and depth to the world as well as several optional rules from the DMG that I use as well. All of these are discussed and chosen by the players at session 0 and can be changed once the campaign begins as well. Some examples are the flanking, BA drinking a potion, in depth down time mechanics, death saves done in whisper, and several others.

How will character creation work

Character creation will be done on D&Dbeyond to create characters appropriate to the level that the rest of the party is at. Most character creation will be done during a session Zero with either the group or a short one on one with the GM to answer any questions that may be had on the world or experience. For Character creation we are looking at point buy or standard array
