About the adventure

Talk about, design, and create custom content (often called homebrew) with other people who really enjoy it. DM Jack is particularly experienced in this area, as he has made over 50 custom races, many homebrew magic items, over 4 custom classes (one completely customizable), and a good number of custom subclasses as well. His main areas of expertise in custom content are balance and world building, but he's also great at getting those things to match up and work with intended flavor. He's also a dungeon master of 2 years (player of 4) who has had experience with over 10 different players and so has a somewhat good idea of what transpires. He's also spent a lot of time in the books so has a really good grasp on the rulings of most things in the game (as all dungeon masters should). You can also just join to ask a quick question or something. He's also got an amazing understanding of how effective powergaming and min-maxing are done and so is excellent at combatting that. He has utilized anti-minmaxing techniques within his homebrew that ensure that the homebrew stays balanced even when players exploit it. In other words, he'll be able to help you find that sweat spot where it feels powerful and very well flavored without actually being OP and fits greatly into the game world. People are welcome regardless of race, sex, gender, sexuality, and religion with the exception of satanists. In other words, you're welcome if you're not a satanist. No hitting on anyone else without their vocal or written permission here. If you are female and Jack doesn't say otherwise, you may hit on Jack up to three times each meeting. All content must be something that would be within the pg range when it comes to sexual behavior, and not something that would surely be rated r if it were turned into a movie (in other words, don't force anyone to no longer have the innocence of childhood), with the exception of that it can be as violent (in the blood and for type of way) as you are comfortable thinking about. If you know your content is busted, don't ask if it's busted, because it's just a waste of time. If in the progress of a playtest, don't try to force anything between your character and anyone else's characters that is uncomfortable for anyone else. Please don't cuss here. If you do, Jack probably won't allow you in future meetings unless it was clearly on accident and done with no vile intent or a minor cuss word done with no vile intent. Even in either of the latter cases, continuously doing so had the same result long term as doing it with vile intent does short term. There are a whole ton more characters required so I'm just gonna handle that with tons of random letters. How to prepare

It doesn't hurt to have a draft for some homebrew stuff before participating (especially since that makes things easier) but it's not required for participants to do so.

What I provide

I have the normal dice as well as some abnormal ones, plenty of official DND content, and plenty of custom content.

Gameplay details

Gameplay is through Google meet The table will run more on communication than on mindfulness (though both are necessary practices). Most of the time will be spent looking at and working on homebrew. Any playtesting will have someone who didn't make the content playing it and will involve lots of combat. I included statements about most of the other details in details, such as why I said violence.

Content warnings

    (none)

Safety tools used
  • Breaks
  • Lines and Veils
  • Open Door
  • Stars and Wishes
  • X, N, and O Cards
How will character creation work

When creating characters for playtesting, everyone at the table will make a character that utilizes someone else's homebrew. They may make their character how the rules state, at the level that everyone agrees is appropriate. It is something I would advise to utilize a dark gift, supernatural gift, and background on every character you make.

Players can expect

  • Combat/Tactics: Medium
  • Roleplay: Medium
  • Puzzles: Low
  • Experience Level: Beginner
