Grim Hollow: Descent into Darkness

About the adventure

The world of Grim Hollow is a campaign supplement crafted by Ghost Fire Gaming. It is a horror, mystery and intrigue focused world with an emphasis on creating horrifying stories that are reminiscent of old folk tales, and mythical beasts. The dangers in this world range from both mundane to otherworldly - from the gnawing and uneasy woods that shroud dangerous monsters, to cursed and twisted spires of old that are home to mystical threats. The adventure awaits you - the group of brave and honorable souls that will have to fight through thick and thin to avoid corruption, and overcome sometimes odds that seem insurmountable. Based on the group of characters you will create alongside the other party members, I will hand-craft an adventure in anywhere from 2 - 4 weeks that will be fully fleshed out with: - Homebrew content - Immersive roleplay & exploration focused encounters - Tactical gritty combat - A focus on teamwork to survive the world of Ehtaris For this game, you will need the following: - A functional microphone - Be at least 18 years old, or older - A discord account All are welcome, session 0's are free!

Additional Details

How to prepare

A mic & discord account are required for sessions. I will also at times use my camera, but that is a personal preference I'll leave up to you. I just like it so the sometimes cold experience of playing offline can be avoided. As for rules & game knowledge I will always be happy to help teach and guide, and you don't need to worry about coming "fully" prepared. We will set expectations at session 0.

What I provide

For all of my games I like to use immersive scenic images to help ground people in the world (using Foundry VTT), and battle maps to help engage and interest players during sessions. During sessions as well I enjoy to use music, and ambience to help set the scene and help inspire certain moods. After a while of running the game, depending on player request I can also have commission's done for the player characters.

Gameplay details

My biggest focus out of all is ensuring a positive experience for the people I am running a game for. I want people to be having fun, but first and foremost feel safe and comfortable. I like to craft dreadful and tense stories using horror themes, but they're some lines that I will not cross. Period. I want you (the player) to tell me where those lines stand at our Session 0, where you will be given an opportunity to warn me ahead of time of potential triggers, or themes you wish to avoid in the game.

How will character creation work

Character creation starts at 3rd level, and because of the new options available in the world (for both races, and subclasses) I will sit down to help create your character with you at our session 0. So feel free to brainstorm before the game about character ideas, but just know I've got you covered and can help guide you along the way.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
