About the adventure
Welcome to the to Faerun's famous Swordcoast, a setting from Wizard's of the Coast, where a dragon has been proving itself a local menace! Long ago the great red dragon Sharruth rampaged along the sword coast before being defeated by three metallic dragons who chained her to the ocean floor, hoping to douse her flame with the brine of the sea. Her wrath merely caused a mighty volcanic eruption, forming Stormwreck Isle, her ancient magic seeping into the land itself. Many dragons have sought the island throughout the ages to obtain its power, doing battle and dying there to form a mass grave yard that has scarred the land where their own magic joins that of Sharruth's. A hundred years ago, a blue dragon became the most recent supplicant, making roost on the isle in hopes of harnessing its power for themselves. They were slain, but trouble remains. The leader of the local cloister Dragon's Rest known as Runara has pleaded that adventurers come aid the cloister in its time of need facing great strife. This is an opening adventure for levels 1-3 that will potentially tie into a future campaign should players wish to make the long haul. The game is open to players of all stripes and levels of experience, and players have the option of either making their character during the FREE session zero where we will go over rules, expectations, safety tools, and character creation, or choose one of the five premade characters that come with the adventure. The story itself will be heavily modified and tailored to make it more exciting, and more importantly custom tailored to the player characters, their backstories, and goals!

How to prepare
All you will need for this game is a D&D Beyond account (free), a Discord account (free), and a mic as this game will be over voice chat leaning on the theater of the mind approach with use of battle maps for combat. It is preferable that players familiarize themselves with the basics of the game prior to Session 0, available in the free core rules of the game, namely the roles of the dungeon master, player, and dice in D&D as a narrative game of chance.
What I provide
My style is generally focused on player fun and enjoyment. While I hold to rules (mixed between rules as written and house rules), my primary focus is the group having fun and getting a fulfilling session for both them and their characters. I like to call it the Rule of Fun, finding that sweet spot balance to let mechanics facilitate gameplay rather than clog it down. I utilize D&D Beyond primarily, and have a wide catalogue of shareable character creation options including a vast variety of races, subclasses, feats, and backgrounds to choose from. My voice acting isn't as polished as a professional actors, but I bring unique, silly, and memorable voices to characterizations. Maps will be handled through D&D Beyond as well.
Gameplay details
In Session 0 we will go over safety tools where we will discuss lines and veils, X, N, and O cards, and I will send out a roleplay checklist. As this will be a voice chat game, video is not required and all safety tools will take place either through text (public posting or private messaging) or voice chat. Sessions will conclude with an aftercare debrief where players can voice their likes, dislikes, concerns, and other feelings pertaining to the game in a safe and adult manner.

How will character creation work
Players will begin at level 1 and progress to level 3 throughout the course of the adventure. Character creation will ideally happen as the second half of Session 0 and will be a guided process by myself. I'm generally fairly relaxed when it comes to character options so long as they are official, and look to tailor the experience to the needs and wants of each player.
