DnD 5th Edition 101

About the adventure

In this session you'll learn everything you need to know to play Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition. Spoiler alert: it's way easier than you think, and you don't have to memorize everything! We'll go on a tour of your character sheet, explain the basics of role-playing, how to create your own characters, how to be a "good citizen" of the gaming community, and how to participate in combat. You'll also get access to a full google drive folder of resources and cheat sheets for new players! The second half of the session is a mini adventure designed to showcase each aspect of DnD 5e (roleplaying your character, combat, and skill checks) where there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, roll dice, slay monsters, and have a great time.

Gameplay details

This is a learning/intro to DnD followed by a mini game designed to showcase each aspect of 5th edition, so it includes equal parts roleplaying, combat, and puzzle solving/skills.

How will character creation work

There will be several pre-generated characters for you to choose from.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
