DnD 5e New Players - The Last Dragon's Fury

About the adventure

A friendly, cheap, game for new players to learn the ropes of DnD 5th edition! I'm happy to help with every step of character creation to the learning of the rules, I'm experienced in teaching new players this awesome hobby. Now... The war against the forces of the Drakhorn has all but brought the kingdom of Ostlegate to it's knees. The king's troops are a fragment of what they once were, and his Golden Order of knights has all but vanished from the face of the realm. This, along with several scorched cities and countless villages razed, has been the cost of the quiet. Raving cultists no longer swarm from the mountains while scaly beasts of fire and ice blast above. The dragons no longer demand tribute, and out from under their oppression... Ostlegate can begin to rebuild. But in the far west, at the very edge of the king's claim, a sound is heard. In the quaint logging village of Redwick Bridge, a fearsome roar comes from the mountains, one strikingly similar to the bone-chilling howls heard all too recently...

Additional Details

How to prepare

Players at the very least will need a way to join a discord call and hear me and the other players talking. Ideally, this would be a webcam and mic (headphone mics are just fine). Players will not need to bring anything else, although if they want to use their own character sheet and dice they are welcome to.

What I provide

I'll be using my Master Tier subscription of DnD Beyond to coordinate characters and campaign, and Discord to connect everyone during and outside of sessions. I'll likely make maps and handouts that will get posted in the discord server.

Gameplay details

I always do a session 0 for character creation and world discussion. During this session, you're free to share anything you'd like to see in our campaign, as well as anything that would make the game less fun for you. I like to remind players that this remains just a game, and if you're not enjoying the experience something needs to change on my end. As for gameplay itself, this is a beginner level campaign, and everyone will likely be learning the rules slowly and surely. Expect me to be explaining rules often, and reminding people of their options. I encourage thinking outside of the box and I have no problem with min-maxing. I prefer a mixed experience between description and roleplay, meaning that I will often act out my NPC's in character, but if you don't feel comfortable responding in character you can simply describe the idea you want to get across.

How will character creation work

Characters will be created during our Session Zero. No experience at all is required, and I'll talk everyone through both concept creation and character creation on DnD Beyond. I have a Master Tier subscription and so all class options from the PHB will be available.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
