About the adventure

SHE is the Ancient “Imagine Strahd von Zarovich as a woman — a powerful, female vampire holding Barovia in her grip." Under raging storm clouds, the vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The wind’s howling increases as she turns her gaze down toward the village of Barovia. A lightning flash rips through the darkness, but Strahd is gone. Only the howling of the wind fills the midnight air. The master of Castle Ravenloft is having guests for dinner—and you are invited. Please note that this game is a Genderbent version of Curse of Strahd, though not all characters may be gender-bent. This is also a very LGBT+ friendly group. There are likely to also be further homebrew changes. It will be firstly set in my homebrew world of Elturel; a world currently torn apart by an incursion from other planes and certain kingdoms are currently protected by large Mythals. More information will be given later, however! -Date: Up for discussion, but likely to be a weekday. Likely around 6/7/8 pm GMT (UK) starting time. -Level: Starting at level 1, to go roughly to level 12. -Length: Games will last between 3-4 hours per session. -Gameplay: A pretty evenly balanced game, with roleplay having an edge over combat & exploration but still with plenty! -Edition: D&D 5e -Experience: Beginner-friendly -Age: 18+ -Themes: Must be OK with horror, the extent of which can be discussed depending on people's desires etc. -Played via Discord, DnD Beyond, and Roll 20. You will have access to my DnD beyond books, Roll20 CoS content with high-quality maps etc. -Homebrew: Will depend on the homebrew, but run it by me to check over! -Players Needed: Up to 6 players, but need roughly 4 at least.

How to prepare

I've not decided if we'll just be using Discord chat and then Roll20 to play or if people would also rather use webcams on Roll20 but I'm open to either though whenever playing online I've only yet done it over Discord chat as sometimes webcams on Roll20 can slightly distract people. I'll be giving you access to my DnD Beyond which I have a few of the books on which will allow you to create a character for all of us to see and I'll house you in a small Campaign Group there. However, if you would rather you can use a printout sheet or use the sheets on Roll20, whatever you're more comfortable with or used to is totally fine with me!

Gameplay details

Fast-paced, strong roleplay is desired, horror of different genres; but this will be further discussed during a session 0 to see what people do/don't want/like.

How will character creation work

You will start out at level one and this campaign is likely to go to around level 12. I'm open to when people create them, but we can go over potential connections between characters during session 0. In the discord, there will be resources on character building for my homebrew world (but pretty much every race is allowed). Homebrew will be allowed if it both fits in my idea of my world and after I've checked it out to ensure it fits for the game. Your characters will be given secrets during character creation that will further inspire your character, these secrets tie in directly to the CoS campaign and I'll ensure to work with you privately to make sure you're happy and they fit your character, if not we'll work in another secret!

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
