About the adventure

☠️The city is gone, your souls are forfeit, the only way to save yourself is to go to hell☠️ The seemingly idyllic existence on the sword coast is shattered by an impending doom. In an instant, your world is reduced to rubble, and just as hope appears within reach, it is snatched away by the very forces that caused the destruction. The reality is far more terrifying than one could have ever imagined, and the only chance to save oneself is to risk everything. This adventure features a diverse range of challenges and opportunities. You'll traverse the sewers in pursuit of clues, rub elbows with high society, and explore both grand cities and the fiery depths of hell. If you dream of piloting a vehicle across a wasteland alongside Mad Max, this adventure is for you. Danger may be omnipresent, but so are opportunities for making deals, breaking bargains, and achieving redemption - though it may come at a steep cost. I will be incorporating various supplements from Eventyr Games and other sources to enhance the visual appeal of the maps and provide a more open-world sandbox-like experience. Many of the encounters are revised to be more dynamic incorporating unique challenges and objectives for players to complete beyond simply inflicting damage on their opponents. My Dungeon Master style is to create highly immersive and satisfying experiences for my players. My approach to combat is dynamic and unpredictable, with a focus on rewarding creative thinking. In terms of roleplaying, I place a strong emphasis on character development. I aim to create opportunities for players to delve deeper into their characters and discover their true selves as the adventure progresses. To me, a successful adventure is one in which a character has undergone meaningful growth and change. As we journey through the land, I will make the environment come alive. There is nothing more rewarding than hearing a player exclaim 'That was the best DnD session I've ever had'. These are the testimonials from players about my games: ✔️ "I was looking for a fast paced high action game and Ozy did not disappoint" 💖 "Had a great time with the start of the campaign ... and can't wait to continue with this journey." 🎖️ "very willing to work with players and understand what their goals are." 💀 "really explores the intricacies of the combat system. I would DEFINITELY recommend this DM for anyone" The game will be conducted via Discord, Roll20, and DnDBeyond, utilizing the Beyond20 chrome extension. It features enhanced maps to improve immersion. Typically I run this adventure starting at level 1 and reaching level 15 for the final confrontations.

Additional Details

How to prepare

Functioning microphone is essential. Computers able to handle roll20 and dndBeyond (Using Beyond20 to integrate). At least a one sentence backstory (20 page essays are fine too). Roleplay is best when I have the following about your character: Gimmick (core character concept): Want (what does the character want at the beginning): For example: Gimmick: An aristocratic gnome who lost everything on crypto and now lives in squalor Want: To get rich again

What I provide

I run the game on Roll20 integrated with DnDBeyond and have some (but not all) character options purchased and shared. I also use enhanced colorful maps from Evantyr games and others. Give me a shout if there is a character option that you want that is missing. Discord is used for voice as well as other communication.

Gameplay details

I keep fight happening fast and brutal. Encounters are usually spiced up with additional details and problems that need to be solved, not just bashing their way through the encounter (which is always important too). Optimizers are welcome and I promise to give them a challenge, but creating the perfect character is not necessary. Roleplay is all about emergent character arc. I had one campaign where a thief ended up a dragon queen, another where a barbarian became a dread lord. Starting simple and exploring where the story takes you is 99% of the fun. I also love puzzles, expect a few extra ones where players have to think.

How will character creation work

Characters for this campaign start at level 1. Full rules are on my discord but here is a summary: - All official content on D&D beyond (some small exceptions). - Characters use standard point array. - Free feat at level 1 + everyone gets grappler feat (because it unlocks game mechanics everyone should have, still requires 13 STR) - Players start with standard starting equipment for their class and background + 200GP gold to purchase equipment/supplies at prices in Player's Handbook. - Healing potions cost 50gp at creation. - May purchase Splint armour for special onetime cost of 125GP, or Breastplate for special onetime cost of 150GP. (*only on character creation). - No evil alignment characters (at least at start😉). - Fixed hit points.

Players can expect
