    About the adventure

Long ago, the real of Arora was fractured in the aftermath of The Great Abjuration, a ritual spell of untold and unprecedented power, cast as a desperate attempt to ward off an ancient, insidious foe. Now, life in the Five Realms is a constant struggle for its inhabitants: their rulers have gone mad, the very land is against them, and tumultuous, unknown powers move just under the surface. This is Arora, a chaotic, broken place where you will need all of your strength, cunning, and power to survive. This DnD 5th Edition campaign will test you as you explore the Five Realms, interact with a various cast of NPCs, and find your path to greatness. At its core, Age of Desolation will explore the themes (and mechanics) of exploration and adventure in a dangerous realm. Players must be aware of their environment and research and learn its unique hazards and deadfalls. They must learn to make the best out of bad circumstances as they work for, and with, other survivers in these harsh times. As a DM, I love games where the players' decision matters, and they get to explore and grow their characters in new and exciting ways. Arora is a place in need of heroes, will you heed the call?

    How to prepare

Players should be familiar with, or at least have logged into, Foundry VTT and the Forge hosting system before session 0. Players will need a microphone of decent quality. Players should also familiarize themselves with the setting summary that will be provided, and may avail themselves of the handouts in the VTT if more reading is desired. Finally, players should be prepared to have a great time and enjoy themselves!

    What I provide

I will provide access to the VTT and any and all assets needed. I will provide players with handouts for notes, character sheets, and any images and source material needed.

    Gameplay details

Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist - before session 0, after an application is accepted, players will need to fill out a Mone Cook RPG Consent Checklist. This will be reviewed and discussed (anonymously) during session 0. Rules of conduct will be established based on the results of the checklist and an open discussion. Session 0 - a session 0 will be conducted to discuss characters, themes, any additional lines or veils, and lay down groundrules. Breaks - there will be at least 1 break during each session where players can cool down or discuss things privately with the dm.
