About Katy
I'm Katy and I'm an avid TTRPG player for 10+ years now! In that time I've run multiple campaigns through various systems, with most PbtA systems being my favorite. I'm a streamer who hosts games online and plays in various campaigns all over the internet. I want to give people a fun experience and enjoyable games that they leave the table talking about and wondering what will happen during the next session.

I got started GMing...
Because some friends wanted to play D&D and nobody else wanted to DM. So I bought the Dungeon Master's Guide, read it, decided that was good enough and homebrewed up my own world.
My favorite system of all Time is
Monster of the Week. I love telling a story with a monster that grows and changes narratively alongside the hunters.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Voraciously reading horror and weird chick lit in order to get inspiration for my next campaign.
How Katy runs games
I am a GM that heavily encourages RP and problem solving without violence. I love to give players ways to really get into the story and enjoy themselves while doing so. I have a focus on player safety and really rooting for players and want everyone to walk away from the table with a memorable experience.

Rules are...
Guidelines that we walk alongside.
When it comes to voices
I have a few voices that I use but I find that tone and inflection can really make or break a character.
Katy's ideal table
My table is a mix match of people who want to explore their characters backstories and where their characters are going in life. They want to tell a story with other strangers or friends and they want to do so in a collaborative nature while not stealing the spotlight away from any other person.

I love it when a player
takes the description reigns into their own hands. Tell ME a story - don't just rely on me to describe everything. I want to hear what you have to say!
I think it's a red flag when players...
Play the emo rogue who leaves the party because 'it's what my character would do'. Work with your party members to solve problems and don't be a party pooper.
I think metagaming...
is fun! I love metagaming, especially if it makes you feel comfortable at the table. I'm not going to cast you out over a little metagaming.
