DOTS RPG Project Charity Event
Jul 9 - Aug 9, 2026
StartPlaying is excited to announce our partnership with the DOTS RPG Project for our July charity event! From July 8th to August 9th, Game Masters can run sessions where 100% of the proceeds benefit the DOTS RPG Project in honor of Disability Pride Month. StartPlaying is waiving our standard 15% cut from bookings for all charity games, and we will match funds raised by all GMs up to $1000. Join Game Masters in supporting DOTS RPG Project by participating in these charity games throughout July and August. More about DOTS RPG Project: DOTS RPG Project improves accessibility in tabletop roleplaying games, one adventure at a time! The DOTS RPG Project was created when their founder, Jack, wanted to find a way to make tabletop role playing games (TTRPGs) easier for his blind friend, D. Jack realized the need not only for rulebooks, but various gaming aids like HP trackers, markers, and of course dice. DOTS RPG Project created the world's first mass produced braille polyhedral dice. Designed with the BVI experience as the main focus, they prioritize tactile readability by creating consistent faces across all dice with a single braille cell and no engraved numbers. After over five long years of prototype testing from real users, design modification, and factory testing, the Braille RPG Dice finally launched in December 2024! Today, the DOTS RPG Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving accessibility in gaming. They partner with many different people in the tabletop gaming industry to accomplish our goals; seeking out publishers, developers, players, and fans to ensure we are able to make the most impact with our creations and donations of accessible gaming materials. DOTS started with the creation of braille dice and books, but they have expanded and will continue to expand to address the needs of multiple disabilities. https://www.dotsrpg.org/
