About the adventure
In the annexed city-state of Strasa, rebellion brews, empires overreach, and shadow-entities twist the fates of mortals for their own sadistic amusement. When every faction views you as a weapon, a pawn, or a canvas, cultivating one's own identity reads as an act of war. Against the Alterae is a high-stakes, character-driven PF2e campaign about breaking the chains of the past and forging a new destiny on your own terms.

About me
15k+ Hours GMed | 7 Year Pro | Narrative-Focused Beyond all the above, what you're getting with me as a DM is a friendly, relaxed experience. In interpreting rules and making judgment calls, I aim for consistency and tend to err on the side of the player if there's no clear-cut answer at hand. While the PC adventurers may delve into all manner of dark, dangerous places, I try to build a welcoming environment for all players, which includes prioritizing player safety and ongoing communication. We play games to have fun, and that's only possible if players' needs are met. If all of the above sounds like the sort of thing you're looking for, don't hesitate to reach out and schedule your next adventure today. I look forward to hearing from you!

Creating your character
Sheets will be on Roll20. Normal stats, with the option to pick up a free archetype. Bring your character to your first session; I'm happy to help with creation as needed beforehand!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You'll need a Roll20 account and a Discord account for sure, as membership in the R20 campaign and the Discord server are integral to playing. Pathbuilder is also recommended, but just as an optional character creation tool.
What Eric (RockNRole) brings to the table
I'm a pro GM of nearly ten years now, so I've got tons of fun voices, vibrant maps, and other visual aids. Because I find so many people would rather set their own soundtrack via Spotify or whatever, I don't typically use ambient music anymore. Combat is challenging, but not so brutal as to demand a certain kind of character design from players. I've been called "brutal, but fair" regarding how I play my characters intelligently without feeling the need to give them plot armor. I tend to run things pretty much Rules as Written, though I typically try to decide ambiguities in the players' favor. We're here to have fun, after all!
Homebrew rules
I don't track rations or mundane ammo.

Safety
How Eric (RockNRole) creates a safe table
I'd ask that players raise any potential problem subjects as early as possible. That said, I recognize that sometimes we don't know what we don't know, so the door is always open for someone to call a timeout or request a fade to black for safety reasons. Impactful storytelling is cool and fun, but safety is paramount and ALWAYS takes priority.
