About me
Hello! My name is Johan and I’ve been playing in and running games for D&D and other TTRPGs since 2015. I love the collaborative nature of the game and the way it brings people together through unforgettable memories of grand adventures. I also jump at the opportunity to help new players who want to try the game, making sure they feel welcome at the table. In regard to my actual DMing, I have been doing that pretty much since I started playing the game. I also have played and run games primarily through Roll20 so I am very well versed in its tools such as dynamic lighting. Beyond this I have a plethora of resources available to make use of the compendium and charactermancer easier in my games. I also have experience running games for groups of 2-12 though the higher end of that is typically reserved for one-shots. When it comes to style I have a fair bit of range as I feel the game allows for many different types of stories to be told. So you can look forward to any sort of experience from something more laid back and exploration focused to harrowing adventures where each battle could be your last. I look forward to getting to sit around the virtual table with you all and go on grand adventures.

Creating your character
We will go over character creation during session 0 which should be fairly quick as we will be starting at level 1. Details of character creation rules and stat distributions will be given in the form of a Google Doc which will provide options for rolled stats, an array, and a point buy system. All of which have been custom made by myself to allow for a more customizable character creation experience where options outside of stat increases can be regularly considered throughout character progression.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
So long as you have a Roll20 and Discord account there shouldn’t be any prep required on the part of the player prior to session 0. Feel free to tinker away a bit ahead of time in regards to character concepts and such but that is not required.
What Johan brings to the table
The game will be hosted on Roll20 using the module content provided by Roll20. Alongside this, a great deal of the 5e compendium content for Roll20 will be available allowing for easy and fairly comprehensive use of the charactermancer. In terms of running the game I do my best to craft an engaging story for the players and even though this is a pre-made campaign module I will work to make the story matter to the PCs and incorporate backstory elements where possible.

How Johan creates a safe table
The biggest portion of safety tools will come in the form of establishing clear lines and veils during session 0. Making sure that everyone is on the same page and assured that no issues will arise during the game and how we will handle them if by some means they do.
