About the adventure
You find yourself in Icewind Dale. A land that has always been known for being cold, but in more recent years has become truly unforgiving. Icewind Dale has been cursed by Auril the Frostmaiden that prevents the sun from ever rising. The denizens of the 10 ten towns here are trapped in a perpetual night. Effectively isolated from the rest of the world, most of them have to beg, barrow, steal, or fight to survive the never ending winter nights. Not only that, but all of them, as well as you, will have to survive the extreme cold temperatures, blizzards, avalanches, and much more. The cold reach of Death is never far from Icewind Dale and the citizens who live here, perhaps even your own family and friends. Someone has to put an end to this curse. The sun must rise again. This night cannot go on forever. Will you be the ones to put an end to the Everlasting Rime?

Creating your character
I typically like to roll for stats. However, if you have multiple just god awful stats because the dice gods hate you, I can be convinced to allow you to reroll some or all of them! I also allow one free feat of your choosing that you can add right at the beginning. We will do collective character creation during session 0!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
If you don't have discord, please download it! It's where we will hold our sessions as well as where I will put in all the info you need. I will give you access to all the resources you need including a google doc of basic lore, access to sourcebooks, etc. I'll also share some fillable character sheets, but if you have a format you prefer to use, feel free to use that instead.
What Willow Black brings to the table
I LOVE to implement background music to set the tone and always do voices for my NPCs. Generally, I am very much a roleplay over combat person, however still be prepared for both! When it comes to rules I typically stick to the book as best as I can, however, there are certainly times when Rule of Cool is definitely best for the story.
