About the adventure
** Session 0 is scheduled for 10/28/2026 and there is one slot left! ** This game runs the New York by Night city book for Vampire: the Masquerade. Calebros of Clan Nosferatu helped lead the Camarilla to successfully oust the Sabbat from NYC, and pledged to stay just long enough to stabilize the city. Claiming the title of Prince pro tempore, it is now two years later and his abdication of the throne is imminent. An enterprising young coterie will have an opportunity of their unlives, if they are ambitious, daring, and clever enough to seize the moment. Set in the year 2000, New York by Night is a game of political intrigue set in a dangerous time in the history of the Kindred. The power vacuum is significant, and everyone is looking to carve out a piece of the City that Never Sleeps for themselves. Players will portray a coterie of Neonate vampires trying to establish themselves in NYC just a few months before the end of Calebros's term as Prince pro tempore. This is a game that promises deep conspiracies, adherence to the social norms of Kindred society, and the dangers of rising quickly in the World of Darkness. All while trying to hold the Beast at bay.

About me
I've been playing and GMing TTRPGs since 2001. The majority of my experience as both player and GM is with the World of Darkness and Dungeons & Dragons. But I have dabbled in a variety of other systems. In addition to TTRPGs I have been a Ren Faire actor from 2011 until 2021. I also participate in a monthly World of Darkness LARP since 2016 to this day. These experiences have helped me to develop more advanced improvisational skills and story pacing. I can quickly read my audience as they react to my performance and make adjustments to further enhance the story. I have a Bachelors in English Literature and am an avid consumer of books as well as media. I've spent the past two years looking for content creators online that speak about the mechanics of storytelling to further educate myself. As part of my IRL job experience, I have developed strong organizational skills as well. I work for a nonprofit mental health company. I focused on providing therapeutic support to youths until 2021 when I switched to a project management position. Tracking schedules, data, and deadlines while maintaining strong communication is what I do for a living and I bring that to the game table. As part of my LARP club I have been responsible for maintaining and enforcing out-of-character safety mechanics. Combined with the therapeutic training I've received I am highly proficient in maintaining a safe and open space for storytelling to flourish while respecting boundaries.

Creating your character
Use the character creation rules in Vampire: The Masquerade 20th Anniversary Edition (V20) plus an additional 20 XP. Rules clarifications and changes can be found in this Google doc, which supersedes what is found in the book. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GN4Cc8c_IgtOKCi_pkv_8bhc8JEswvby3KRnhkPpuwQ/edit?usp=sharing In addition there is a character background document that is required for all player characters. This is to help ensure a strong connection to the setting right from the beginning. It will also provide me with information about the type of game you are interested in experiencing.

What Geo Giannetti brings to the table
This is a sandbox game when choices have consequences, both good and bad. I am asking for detailed background documents from players which will be integrated into the setting to create a personalized story. I have been playing and running V:tM games for 25 years and am very familiar with the social and political structures of the Camarilla. This will be a large focus for the game. In addition, I am also equally as intrigued by and versed in the horrors of vampiric existence and can tell stories that incorporate this as well. There will also be a Google map marked with all of the different territories and significant landmarks. This will be updated based on player actions and discoveries about the city.

How Geo Giannetti creates a safe table
Prior to session 0 I will ask players to fill out the Lines & Veils document. During session 0 we will review this document and discuss any further topics or concerns players have. X, N, and O's will be digital in the Discord chat or in DM's during the game session. Open Door will also be used as needed. We will end each game session with Aftercare as well as Stars and Wishes to help bring us back into the real world and to address any issues that arose during play. And to highlight favorite moments as well!!
