About the adventure

A small town is often haunted and tormented by a variety of ghastly ghouls, ghosts, cults, and cthulhu-types. A group of Hunters do their best to protect it from the varying horrors that attack it, which includes not only a vampire coterie but also a werewolf bicycle club, a time freezing cult, ghosts at the community college, and a legendary coven of mystics and witches. How does this impact your life at Rueben Alcott High, or even worse, how are your days at Bitterridge CC where rumors send shivers down students' spines? With this campaign, we'll tell tales and develop characters as they try to survive in and council their city! We'll explore relationships with one another and how actions have consequences, both big and small, good and bad, and how those consequences can shape the world around us, how those consequences can shape the world around others as well. Overall, this campaign will have its serious moments and its silly moments. As a queer campaign writer, especially with horror elements, a bit of campiness does tend to leak through into my gameplay and storytelling.

About me

Two things to me that make a great community are food and stories, which are both brought and shared at a table. At my table, I want your hunger for curiosity and creativity to be satiated. My tables are also safe places, where all sorts of ideas are welcome. I want everyone to walk away feeling heard. However, I do not tolerate bigotry and prejudice at my table; any and all BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+, Disabled/Chronically Ill, and Neurodivergent folx are welcome and encouraged at my table. Different and new perspectives bring rich stories. With a decade of TTRPG experience, over half that time in the GM's seat now, I consider myself to be a teacher and a student, willing to guide and willing to learn. My favorite systems are Monster of the Week, and I'm a big fan of running Play by Post games. I'm a Virgo/Libra cusp, a Trekkie, and have a dog and two cats.

Character creation

Creating your character

During Session Zero, we will work to build characters together! However, there's nothing wrong with coming in having ideas for what type of arc you're wanting to explore-- in fact, it's quite helpful! Any core/canon source material is acceptable and if you'd like to use Homebrewed materials, send those my way for approval prior to Character Creation.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You'll want to have a Discord account-- we use the chat functions there, both for audio/visual but also text. This will be our mainline of communication. I also send out Safety Materials and other resources using Google Drive. There will be a Roll20 available, but is not required.

What Urvy Fitz brings to the table

I have access to the Core Rulebook and will provide that for folks, as well as a few other neat resources that will be shared throughout Game Play. I embrace the Rule of Cool however. Most of the time I will have my camera on so I can make funny faces and do silly voices in order to immerse players into our world.

How Urvy Fitz creates a safe table

Upon joining the server, you'll receive access to a Lines and Veils sheet, which is a continuously fluid document to be used by all throughout gameplay. I also have an Open Door policy and provide opportunities for feedback through a Stars and Wishes form. After sessions, you're welcome to decompress in the chat.
