About the adventure
Ideal for both new and experienced players, the adventurers will delve into a destroyed temple, endeavor to defeat or outwit its natural inhabitants, and seek to disrupt the cultists set on raising the Bishop for nefarious ends. About me
I started playing Basic and AD&D in the early 1980s, then took a 40-year sabbatical. I resumed playing in 2019 and have been DMing for 5 years. I've completed several mid- and long-term campaigns with a variety of players. I'm interested in games that focus on players' stories.

Creating your character
Please prepare a level 3 D&D 5.0 or 5.5E character. Use Standard Array for stats. This one-shot will have no short or long rests, and players will start with one basic potion of healing (2d4+2 HP recovery). Any characters options in the official D&D 5.0 or 5.5 books published by Wizards of the Coast are allowed.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Be prepared to use Discord for voice and camera (optional) chat and Roll20 as the Virtual Table Top.
What Gerry brings to the table
I like to use ambient and battle music through Roll20 in my games. Be prepared to describe your spell effects and attacks for a more cinematic feel to the extent you are comfortable doing so.
Homebrew rules
Potions may be consumed as a bonus action. Health potions - Consumed as a BONUS ACTION in combat, roll for HP. - Consumed as an ACTION in combat, take the maximum HP allowed. - Administered to a fallen companion, roll for HP. - Consumed out of combat, take the maximum HP allowed. For critical hits, I prefer to take max dice damage for the critical, and roll damage on top of that.
