About the adventure

Take on the role of a member of the The Broken Claws, an elite group of assassins for hire. One of the local lords is throwing an elaborate masquerade ball at his estate. However, it would appear this lord is not without his enemies. You have been hired to infiltrate this gaudy celebration and bring an end to this pompous party-thrower. However, this task is far more than simply planting a knife in his ribs. It will require careful planning and deliberation, stretching your skills to their limits. The goal of making this quest was to provide players a chance to fulfill their Dark Brotherhood/Dishonored desires and provide them a myriad of ways to do so. Will you leap brazenly into the fight and confront the lord head on or will you gather intel and isolate him before striking? The choice is yours and the possibilities are... well, not endless, but there are quite a few!

About me

Greetings adventurers! I'm just a guy who loves telling stories and rolling math rocks. I've been writing stories since I was a kid and have always been something of a daydreamer. I get lost in the worlds I make in my head and am excited to share them with all of you. I've been playing Dungeons & Dragons since 2019 and have been DMing since 2020 and it's one of my favorite things. I'm originally from the US but am currently in Norway for school. I also speak Spanish, but all my games will be run in English. My educational background is a mixture of creative writing and history, both of which I use when drafting my homebrew content. I know how to craft a story from start to finish and make NPCs interesting and complex. I'm also really passionate about music and I always go out of my way to make sure I've got the right playlist for every session. My official website is coming soon but follow my Instagram for regular updates on available games and to follow the adventures of my tavern dwelling frog!

Character creation

Creating your character

We'll start this adventure at level 5 and use Point Buy for stats. If you use Roll20 for character creation, be aware that is has limitations on options like classes, patrons, etc. Have your character ready to go before the session. Roll20 game link will be included with booking details. I use the DnD 5e 2014 rules.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need a mic and a webcam is preferred, especially since this is a roleplay heavy adventure. Also you will need Discord and Roll20 accounts. Don't forget to send me your character art before the session so I can have your virtual character token ready to go!

What The Tadpole Tavern brings to the table

Offering dynamic maps on the VTT Roll20 as well as custom tokens for each player! I utilize a wide variety of voices and accents and use the Pocket Bard app for music and ambiance. Even though this is a one-shot, I like to add little hints of the greater lore and history of the world around you. This is a self contained story, but it will feel like it could lead to something more.

Homebrew rules

When a roll ties with AC, it goes to the defender. Drinking health potions is a bonus action. Other potions is an action. No action necessary when switching from a ranged to a melee weapon. The "Perkins" Crit
