About the adventure

This eerie, unsettling ‘eldritch horror-esque’ setting is home to dark mysteries and bone-chilling tales. Better suited for intermediate and experienced Pathfinder 2e players but welcomes new players who want to dive into the deep... this is a region driven by a grueling fishing economy and desperate maritime trade, where crews brave treacherous waters to haul essential resources between isolated harbors. But beneath the surface of this daily grind lies a pervasive, creeping dread. The sea doesn't just swallow ships; it changes people, and the folk who live along these shores have learned to keep their heads down, read the strange shifts in the weather, and never look too closely at what tangles in their nets. In this campaign, curiosity is the most dangerous trait you can possess. The frontier is steeped in localized superstitions and unsettling folklore; whispers of haunting melodies drifting over the waves, ships vanishing without a single splinter left behind, and ancient things watching from the crushing blackness of the deep water. As you travel the shipping lanes and trek through the silent, wilds of the interior, you will find that every community harbors its own closely guarded secrets, and some answers are better left at the bottom of the sea. This is a narrative-driven campaign heavily focused on exploration, environmental tension, and slow-burn eldritch mystery. Whether you are investigating the dark rumors that drift through coastal taverns, or trying to survive the psychological toll of a shoreline that feels deeply wrong, your choices will shape the story. Secure your seat at the table, mind the tides, and prepare to face the shadows of the deep.

About me

Howdy! I'm Trent and I go by TRENTJH in the online world, I've crafted my overarching setting and Brand known as Beyond The Wonderveil designed around Paizo Systems. I am a passionate storyteller, hailing from Manitoba, Canada. I've been dedicating myself to honing my craft in writing, storytelling, and GMing, while I've only converted to the pathfinder system with the release of 2e, my previous repertoire and experience with TTRPG's is backed by over a decade of experience. I also have a wonderful and slowly growing community revolving around Beyond The Wonderveil but all sorts of other interests as well, all while remaining LGBTQ+ friendly. I've refined my style of GMing to revolve around story telling, hand crafted tales dictated by the actions of the players, campaigns I run are meant to feel like a joint story between the players, and not some by-the-book tale. I also Make the Disclosure: Jinbeizamezama usually does my art/visuals while I handle in game Maps, however they are human and cannot be expected to have everything ready on demand or on short notice, with their blessing I use AI generative art as placeholders or when visuals are needed on short notice. I will never claim AI generative art to be apart of Finished Product.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters will be created as part of session 0. Characters that are created under some guidance of the setting and with feedback of potential motivation or goals will not only fit the campaign better but also feel better to play, so it is recommended that players do no do character creation on their own.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players should join the Beyond The Wonderveil Discord: https://discord.gg/4ESpHWks87 Once in the discord players can inquire for more details about the setting and campaign, as well as start fostering potential characters. As mentioned I provide a Session 0 which is free, in which any unanswered concerns can be brought up and covered, along with character creation/finalization.

Safety

How Trent creates a safe table

I tired to cover most of predictable Content warnings. I also make and effort to create a clear separating when play ends with an optional post session wrap-up where we can go over anything that we want to cover. Of course if a moment grows to heavy, the open door policy is there for a reason, don't feel obligated to thug out through a moment that is too much. Given this Campaign has a focus around horror and unsettling/uncomfortable events it is not for the faint of heart.
