About the adventure
At the edge of the known seas stands Blackwake, a lawless pirate port of crowded taverns, crooked merchants and captains hungry for fortune. Beyond its harbor stretches a vast, uncharted archipelago—hundreds of islands promising lost ruins, strange beasts, forgotten treasures and worse. Not long ago, a ship missing for months drifted back into port. Of its sixty-three crew, only six remained, and all had gone mad. In its hold lay a chest of gold coins bearing unknown symbols, gems cut into strange shapes, and a letter written in a language no scholar could read. Now, the bold and controversial captain Ulysses Knope is hiring a new crew. He intends to retrace the doomed voyage, discover where the treasure came from, and return with a fortune—preferably without the madness and with the whole crew.
