About the adventure
Learn to Embrace the power of your true self and defy the oppressive society in Girl by Moonlight! Using the "Forged in the Dark" game system, Girl by Moonlight allows you to play in the Magical Girl genre of stories. These include stories like Sailor Moon, Steven Universe, and She-Ra. The protagonists of this game live the normal life of a young person with day to day social conflicts. However, they also have alter egos that fight against the forces of evil to protect the world they love! Emotions are a major aspect of Girl by Moonlight. The players use their protagonists connections to others to give themselves strength. But becoming overwhelmed by the strain of the double life could cause them to fall into the eclipse of self-destruction and inner turmoil. So get ready to tell a beautiful story of friendship, adventure and heart!

About me
Hello! My name is Michael. I am a game master with over 14 years of experience in Dungeons and Dragons and enjoy other systems such as the Sprawl, Blades in the Dark, and Fate. I have been using roll20 as an online platform since it released on Kickstarter, and have used Discord regularly for many years for voice and video communication. TTRPG's are a wonderful way to explore storytelling in a collaborative way. I love playing games with creative minds and enjoy teaching games to new players. I have experience in mental health support and crisis prevention, so I want to make sure that my tables are always safe, accepting and comfortable for everyone. I hope you'll join me in exploring the Anomalies of the Vast unknown!

Creating your character
Protagonists, will be built in session zero. Players are not required to know how to play Girl by Moonlight. or any Forged in the Dark system, before the game start.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
The game (character sheets, rolls, art and information) will be hosted on roll20.net. At least a free account on the website will be required to access the game. You are not required to own the Girl by Moonlight module to access the content in the game. I will also be using my Discord server to host the voice calls for the game. This also requires a free Discord account to access. It can be accessed by a web browser, but it is recommended that you either download the application for Discord on a device with a microphone (PC, phone, etc.). Video is not required for players, but I will be on camera.
What Michael Cossairt (VastAnomalies) brings to the table
I enjoy creating unique and varied characters based on voice and tone. I have over a decade of roleplay experience that will use to the best of my ability. They will not be good or consistent voices, but I promise they will be fun! The Forged in the Dark systems are very narrative driven. I love when a player has a cool idea for what to do next. I will use Rule of Cool moments that might bend the rules slightly to make a cool story. This will not be a tactics heavy game by any means. With the use of Discord, I also will be hosting a music bot to play music to fit the ambience of the scenes.

How Michael Cossairt (VastAnomalies) creates a safe table
In session zero, we will discuss Lines & Veils, things we don't want in the game at all as well as what can be in the narrative, but is only mentioned or fades to black. At the end of each session I also like to do Stars and Wishes, where the players discuss what they enjoyed and what they hope to see in the session going forward.
