About the adventure
Deep within a colossal scar in the earth known as the Great Rift, the Forbidden Caverns of Archaia hold secrets that time itself tried to erase. This is a setting where the history of a lost civilization blends with ancient ruins and underground complexes that seem to breathe under the weight of ages. Here, the mystery isn't just about what you’ll find at the end of the hall, but in every shadow cast by your torches, revealing a vast and dangerous world waiting for those brave enough to explore it. In this journey meticulous exploration and strategic thinking trump brute force. The central theme is discovery and rising tension: resource management, fading light, and the sound of unknown footsteps in the distance . Do not expect a linear path or guaranteed victories; in Archaia, the environment is a living puzzle, and every door opened can lead to unimaginable treasures or horrors that challenge your characters greed and survivability. Priorities for immersion and freedom of choice. Leading sessions where interactions with the setting and its factions are as crucial as combat, allowing the narrative to build itself through the party's actions, turning every descent into the caverns into a unique tale of bravery and survival. If you're someone who seek more than just a sequence of battles, enjoy uncovering ancient conspiracies, facing challenges that demand creativity, and diving into a megadungeon where exploration is the true reward, your place is here. Prepare your gear, gather your torches, and discover what the shadows of Archaia have to say.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hi, my name is Adriel, i'm 29, happilly married, father of 2 and a absolute lover of RPGs ever since middle school, when I first met this incredible creative world. I'm a two bladed knife. Love both simple engaging and more challenge driven games. Therefore power gaming and RP are not (nor will ever be) opposites and thats a hill i'm dying on. As a GM (or any other game names tha may come to be) I like to employ a GMing style based on presenting a simple general setup view and then proceed adding three more details from the scene with each new interaction, encouraging player engagement by actively seeking to visualize and understand the game world. In terms of game mechanics, I tend ask for rolls only when the "failure" is relevant to the ongoing narrative; I also encourage the use of descriptions (even simplified ones) to act as triggers for rolls, so that the narrative informs the need for them, not the other way around. I reserve slightly more detailed descriptions for preparation and combat moments to encourage tactical use of the terrain. And I make EXTENSIVE use of anticipation, ensuring that every challenge the players wish to engage is properly informed. Few years ago, a group of friends and I, released 2 editions of a Mausritter fanzine called MausRatos, that's currently on 2nd print by Caramelo Jogos, in Brazil. Currently working as a Comissioned GM and both as Proofreader and Translator for Brazilian RPG Publishers. On second notice I am, alongside with a close friend, cooking up a game system.

What Adriel "Mr. B." brings to the table
1) Extensive use of foreshadowing: player's agency NEEDS informed decisions. 2) Open Rolls. 3) 3 Detail's Rule: each time you engage for setup, I add 3 more details to the scene. Until it's all out. 4) Interaction means impact: what your character does means something in the world and will circle back, be it "good" or "bad". 5) Rolls when It is relevant: if there's no risk nor a challeng, you simply succeed given the fair ammount of time. 6) Encouraged use of descriptions (even simplified ones) to avoid unecessary rolls. 7) More detailed descriptions for setups and encounters (both combat and social). 9) Fair ammount of Combat-Fu.
