About the adventure
LOST HORIZON - A Star Wars Horror & Mystery Campaign The galaxy is filled with legends. Most are forgotten for a reason. When a mysterious signal begins transmitting from deep within an unexplored region of space, your crew is sent to investigate what should be an abandoned vessel. Instead, you discover The Last Horizon, a massive experimental exploration ship that vanished centuries ago under circumstances long erased from the historical record. Its halls are silent. Its systems still function. Its caretaker droids continue their duties as though nothing is wrong. And yet something aboard the ship wants to remain hidden. As you explore its vast decks, recover fragmented records, and piece together the fate of its crew, reality itself begins to bend around you. Corridors lead to places they should not. Memories become uncertain. Ancient experiments blur the line between science and something far older and more terrifying. Every answer uncovers a larger mystery, and every discovery forces you to question whether the ship is merely abandoned...or waiting. The Lost Horizon is a story-driven Star Wars campaign inspired by Event Horizon, Alien, The Thing, Dead Space, The Expanse, and classic cosmic horror. Expect investigation, exploration, difficult choices, memorable NPCs, creeping psychological tension, and a mystery that unfolds layer by layer. Combat will occur, but knowledge, teamwork, and clever thinking will often prove more valuable than a blaster. This game is ideal for players who enjoy uncovering secrets, interacting with richly developed characters, and slowly assembling the truth behind a larger narrative. New and experienced roleplayers are welcome. If you enjoy exploring strange places, solving mysteries, and staring into the abyss to discover what might stare back, then The Last Horizon is waiting for you. “In some cases the mysteries may object to being solved.” NOTE: This is a Mini-Campaign designed ro run for 3-4 sessions.

About me
Hello! I am a veteran TTRPG Player, Game Master and storyteller with Four Decades plus of experience running character-driven campaigns, cinematic adventures, and immersive worlds. By day, I work as a Quality Assurance Tester for Activision, where attention to detail, adaptability, and problem-solving are critical. By night, I'm a worldbuilder, writer, and GM who loves creating memorable stories shaped by player choices. I have spent years designing and running tabletop RPG campaigns, creating original settings, writing fiction, and guiding players through collaborative adventures that balance player agency, engaging storytelling, and meaningful choices My games emphasize collaborative storytelling, meaningful character development, interesting NPCs, and adventures where player decisions genuinely matter. Whether a player is searching for thrilling action, mysterious ancient secrets, daring heists, political intrigue, or epic space opera, I strive to create a welcoming table where everyone can contribute to the story. What to expect
Preparing for the session
I will provide Links to both Roll20and Discord once players have signed up for the session.
What Ian (Renfield007) brings to the table
I will be providing the Story, the Scenes, the Maps, Art for every character (PC and NPC) as well as Monsters. I generally use the Rule of Cool and am always up for an on-the-fly tweak to a rule or re-skin. I also ascribe to something called the "Die-Hard Effect" where many the combats can be brutal and you will get beaten to within an inch or more of your life, but when you come out triumphant on the far side, battered, bruised and broken you know you EARNED that victory!
Homebrew rules
1 - Using Medpaks or any Paks are a Bonus Action. 2 - I will be using the "Stronger Crits" where you only roll the damage dice once then add the Maximum Possible Damage + Attribute Bonus. 3 - Critical Failure on a Save will cause Maximum damage.
