About the adventure
There have been many coincidental occurences as of late. People go missing, monsters are seen hunting in the outskirts of the forest, and even more adventurers come back...in coffins... Yet that fateful night, you receive a missive from a lord of a neighbouring yet distant realm -Count von Zarovich. A chill runs down your spine and your heart pumps faster than before. Moments later you mount your horse and ride through the night. Beads of sweat run down your brow, for you're afraid - you're mortified. Yet you can't resist that strange alluring feeling that guides your hands, posseses your body... And leads you staight to Castle Ravenloft... Beyond the Mist is a horror adventure set in the world of Ravenloft on the classic module "Curse of Strahd". Join a party of adventurers that brave terror and danger, and leave your mark in Barovia ...or die trying. Your journey begins at level 1 and will start as soon as we have at least 3 players.

Hello adventurers and heroes, nice to meet you! I'm Babis, a professional Game Master, game designer, and writer from Greece, with more than 15 years of experience working in the gaming industry. I've been playing RPGs for almost 30 years and telling stories for more than 20, while my professional journey has given me the opportunity to work on board games and RPG projects for companies and worlds that I genuinely love. Creating your character
We'll create your characters on session 0, making sure that we end up with a harmoniously coherent party. All characters will be finalized during session 0, and will be open to changes before our 1st session.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
All players need an Alchemy and a discord accounts for the game and, since we'll be playing online, a good enough mic is essential. It's also important to read the basic rules of Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition, before the game so that things flow better, and beginner players can feel free to message me with any questions they may have.

How Babis creates a safe table
"Beyond the Mist" is a campaign based mostly on roleplaying, with intense combat challenges and intricate puzzles. You will venture freely into the land of Barovia and meet its denizens under the careful watch of their master. It is a campaign focused primarily on the player characters, their story, and the choices they make which will be fine-tuned during session zero. Keep in mind that you have chosen a campaign that is pure fantasy-horror. As such, expect to encounter mature themes that might not be for the faint of heart. That being said, I will never bring you forth into a situation that makes you feel uncomfortable. As such, on session 0 I implement the "lines and veils" system, that alongside an extensive talk and discussion will give each other a concrete idea of what you want to avoid in the game. Our sessions will be weekly, online on Alchemy, and Discord. One thing that you won't find in the game is "player betrayal" and active PVP. Surely, characters can keep secrets between them, but never to sabotage or outright ruin another player's roleplaying gameplay experience. There will be a zero tolerance policy on bullying, sexual harassment, racism, hate speech and prejudice. Those who do not abide by these standards will be kicked with no refund.
