About the adventure

Creating your character
We will prepare characters beforehand, over Discord. In addition to 5.5e Classes and Backgrounds, you will also be offered a "Theme" that's specific to Dark Sun and the Campaign. In general, I'm very open to character and world building -- so bring in whatever sounds most fun to you!!

What Carpe the DM brings to the table
I am a professional actor, and enjoy bringing these elements to the table -- that DOESN'T mean you have to be an actor to play!! But music, ambiance, character work, and dynamic combat are all elements of my playstyle -- and often the secret sauce that makes our Campaigns feel alive and collaborative.
Homebrew rules
- You can imbibe a potion as a bonus action. - If you use a full action to drink a potion, you get the max healing possible from it (i.e., full action on a Lesser Healing Potion would guarantee 10 HP) - When rolling for Hit Die each level, you reroll your first 1. If a second 1 is rolled, you take the roll.

How Carpe the DM creates a safe table
Every player will be required to fill out a Safety and Consent checklist that will be shared with the rest of the table before Session 1. X Cards are ALWAYS in play, as well, so if something needs to be pivoted on the fly we have that option available. I believe in open communication, so anything that bumps or bothers you I want to know about.
