About the adventure

Hello! I would love to run this game for anyone who enjoys sci-fi, mecha, and a touch of eldritch horror! Deep in the heart of a dead star system, a derelict ship containing technology never seen before has been discovered. A joint program was launched to learn everything possible from the ship. Exploring the realms of mystery and possibility has long been a tradition among intelligent life. But what happens when the mystery begins to stare back? Take the plunge into the void as part of a team tasked with recovering any research data from the ship after the original research team went dark. Unravel the truth of what happened and how to prevent it from occurring again. As you fend off both seen and unseen threats, will you be able to survive?

About me

Hey! I love to make stories and worlds for people to run around and have fun in. Being able to get people involved in not just the stories of their charactor but also the other party members is so fun and exciting. I'm a pretty big fan of a lot of things but I really enjoy making stories with interconnected plot hooks and deep character back story to really get everyone invested. My longest game lasted about 2 years with most of the players staying the same. I'm pretty well versed in Kamigakari: god hunters but I also have a large assortment of games that I can run in my library. I love to make my own stories and worlds from the ground up so I'm pretty flexible with what type of stories I can run. I'm a big fan of anime (some of my favorite ones are Link Click, World End, and Dragon Ball). I also am big into video games (such as Halo, Destiny, and Remnant).

Character creation

Creating your character

I would love to help with the creation of each character, but if you would rather do it on your own that is also more than fine. We will do character gen as part of session 0 unless everyone decides to do it beforehand.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Bring a mic, and have Discord & roll20 ready (I can help if needed). and don't forget to bring your courage you will need it.

What Gavin brings to the table

I have both the base book and the extra book for The Mecha Hack. I will make maps and tokens to help provide the best experience possible. I enjoy creating unique characters and voices and really getting the players invested in what's going on. I tend to take a story-first approach so rules might get a little bent out of shape if we decide that it would make for a better story.

Safety

How Gavin creates a safe table

I want to strive to make everyone feel safe at my table. Especially if I do a good job at making you feel uneasy in-game, I want to make sure everyone knows that they are safe to talk and speak up at any point. Before the game starts we will go over what everyone is and isn't okay with!
