About the adventure
"Scheming nobles wake the restless dead, besieging innocents. Welcome to Danguk, a land inspired by Korean history and mythology where mortal heroes can ascend to divinity. You are a mudang, a spiritually sensitive being that seeks to maintain harmony between the material and spiritual worlds. What begins as an ordinary request to exorcize a wraith will uncover a conspiracy that threatens to consume the lands in a deluge of malice." You will be playing as members of the Black Bear Clan, a group of mudang brought together by your shared ostracisation in a world that fears your powers. You travel across Danguk solving problems involving spirits and the overlap between their realm and yours. I'll be running the 6 arc campaign (levels 1 to 20) provided by the Undying Corruption sourcebook, written by the lovely people at Nine Havens Press! I will provide the Player's Guide, in which you'll have access to a general primer on the setting and Korean culture, as well as a variety of player options (12 subclasses, 6 species)! This includes a new mounted martial class called the Tactician. I do, however, recommend you buy the Player's Guide on Itch for 5 USD if only to support the creators!

About me
I'm Elinn (She/Her), I've been GMing for about 5 years and can't get enough! I'm a storyteller at heart, and I love collaborative storytelling—it's something I've been doing for most of my life as a theatre geek! I'm experienced with GMing for multiple systems (VTM5e, D&D5e, multiple PBTA games), and various genres within those systems (horror, adventure, drama, etc). My priority is always to have good, safe fun crafting emotionally engaging narratives with my players!

Creating your character
Players will all bring a handful of character ideas to a Session 0, during which we'll discuss them and possibly party dynamics for your Black Bear Clan. Players will then choose which of their ideas, whether pre-existing or ones that came up during the discussion, and create them before the first proper session. I will share the Undying Corruption Player's Guide before all this so people will have the chance to draw from it for ideas!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Create an account on Discord and Forge VTT (they host the Foundry server I run campaigns on) if you do not have them already. Make sure you have a decent microphone and connection!
What Elinn brings to the table
I've been told my GMing is like an emotional roller coaster, and that's how I like it. My campaigns are character driven, and they indulge in the goofy as much as the dramatic. I will do voices, but they will range from pretty alright to incredibly silly. As I am a story-first GM, I'll prioritise story over rules so long as I don't feel like it breaks the game. I want things to feel fair and earned.

How Elinn creates a safe table
I will send out a form to fill in regarding Lines and Veils, whose results I will publish before Session 0 so people can take them into account while creating their stories. My DMs will always be open for a messaged X, N, or O card during the session. I've found that players who aren't already comfortable with each other prefer to do things anonymously to the other players. Of course if anyone wants to say something out loud they are always welcome to. We will be taking a 15 minute break in the middle of the sesssion, but if anyone needs to take a breather for themselves they are welcome to! It would just be preferred if they send me or the chat a message so we know to put your character in the background for the time being. After the session, we'll debrief and hold a little Roses and Thorns session to discuss how we felt about it. I take people's comfort very seriously, so feel free to message me before, during, or after a session so we can hash things out!
