About the adventure

The bombs fell. The buildings collapsed into an eighteen-floor dungeon. And the whole galaxy is watching to see how long you last. This is the OFFICIAL Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG — the record-breaking game from Renegade Game Studios and Matt Dinniman (the #1 most-funded game in BackerKit history), running at this table from day one of release. You're a Crawler: clothing optional, sponsorships mandatory, achievements unlocked in real time by an AI that thinks your suffering is entertainment. Descend. Survive. Play to the audience — viewers mean loot, and loot means you live a little longer. **🍩 The system** Official Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG rules — phase-based combat, no initiative bogdowns, slot-based HP, achievements, sponsorships, loot boxes — brought to life on Foundry VTT with a system implementation I built myself, so the automation, pop-ups, and dice all work on launch week, not "eventually." **🍩 Why this table is different** 45 years behind the screen (since 1981). DMs Guild published writer. Celestial-tier backer of the DCC RPG — I've been building for this launch for months and know this world cold: the comedy, the horror, the absurd corporate cruelty of the System. **🍩 What you'll get at this table** - **Official rules, day one** — while other tables wait for their books, we're already on Floor 2. - **Foundry VTT premium production** — automation, dynamic lighting, animated effects. - **Live Syrinscape soundscapes** — the hum of the System, the roar of the crowd. - **The System AI voiced in character** — achievements, sponsorships, announcements with unhinged glee. - **Custom NPC portraits** — every Bopca, every monster, every talk-show host. - **Lethal, funny, fast combat** — death is real. So is glory. **🍩 The Desperado Club — the show doesn't stop between sessions** Your table is one feed in a shared World Dungeon. Every Crawler gets a crawler number. Achievements post live to the community feed. Leaderboards track every table. Fall, and the memorial wall carries your obituary. An audience watches from the stands, and other crews' triumphs and deaths ripple through your world. This isn't a weekly game — it's a season of television you're starring in. **🍩 Season 1: Floors 1–2** This booking is Season One — collapse to the Floor 2 collapse, ending in a season finale. Survive it and your Crawler carries into Season Two with priority seating. Founding Crawlers keep their founding price for as long as they hold a seat; the rate rises as the table fills. **🍩 Safety at the table** FREE Session 0 covers lines and veils. DCC is dark comedy with real horror underneath — body horror, death, gore. Open Door policy. X/N/O cards in chat. Stars & Wishes between sessions. **🍩 Who thrives here** - Fans of the books who want to crawl their own story (no spoilers for unread floors) - Newcomers who like dark comedy, video-game logic, and high stakes **Crawlers descend the moment 4 seats fill.** Lock your seat and founding price now.

Character creation

Creating your character

Two paths, your choice: OPTION 1 — Pre-Generated Crawlers (recommended for your first descent) A roster of fully-built Crawlers using the official DCC RPG rules — classic archetypes covering different playstyles. Show up, pick the one that calls to you, ready to descend. No prep, no rulebook math. You don't need to own the book. OPTION 2 — Build Your Own Crawler Backed the game and itching to use it? We'll build your Crawler together with the official rules in a free 1-on-1 pre-session. You bring the concept — who were you before the world collapsed, and what kind of Crawler are you becoming? I handle the mechanics with you. Every Crawler comes with a hook and a reason they survived. If you've read the series you'll recognise the world; if you haven't, I'll teach you everything at the table. Character creation happens before Session 1 — we don't burn descent time on it.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Before your first descent: 1. Join the campaign Discord (link sent after booking) — session reminders, character sheets, achievement logs, between-session chat. 2. Create your free Foundry VTT account at foundryvtt.com — 2 minutes, no prior Foundry experience needed. I'll get you set up before Session 1. 3. Have your Crawler ready — pre-gen or your own build. We sort it in the free pre-session chat. 4. Test your mic. Camera optional, mic required. 5. Read the Session 0 welcome pack I send 48 hours before Session 1 — the System, the basics of crawling, and what your character knows waking up in the Dungeon. You do NOT need to own the rulebook or have read the books. Show up ready to descend.

What Jase brings to the table

At this table, you'll get: 🍩 Official DCC RPG rules, running day one — implemented in Foundry VTT with full automation I built myself. No waiting for "eventually." The dice, the pop-ups, the bookkeeping all just work. 🍩 The System AI voiced in character — achievement pop-ups, sponsorship offers, and announcements delivered with the right unhinged glee. The System is a character at this table, not a menu. 🍩 A living, reacting audience — loot boxes, cooldowns, sponsorships, viewer counts. Play to the cameras. The viewers decide if you live well or die poor. 🍩 Cinematic production — live Syrinscape soundscapes (the hum of the floor, the static before an announcement) and custom portraits for every Bopca, monster, and talk-show host. 🍩 Lethal, funny, fast combat — the Dungeon doesn't pull punches and neither do I. Death is real. So is glory. Rule of Cool for the moments that earn a highlight reel. 🍩 A GM who knows this world cold — 45 years behind the screen, Celestial-tier backer, every book read AND listened to. The tone is the hardest thing to get right. I've got it. 🍩 Between-session Discord — build theorycrafting, lore chat, achievement logs, and your highlight reel from the last descent.

Homebrew rules

None — this table runs the official Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG rules as written, with Foundry automation handling the bookkeeping. Achievements, sponsorships, loot boxes, and the audience are all live at the table. The System notices everything. The System rewards style.

Safety

How Jase creates a safe table

Safety isn't an emergency tool at my table — it's how good tables stay good. DCC is dark comedy built on genuine horror: body horror, gore, on-screen death, profanity, and the existential cruelty of a corporation that turned the apocalypse into a game show. Safety tools mean we can lean into the genre confidently. Session 0: Before our first session, we have a 1-on-1 chat covering lines (hard nos), veils (themes we fade to black on), and any personal triggers. Whatever you tell me stays between us. X, N, O Cards: Used throughout sessions via Discord chat. X = stop and cut this content, N = let's not go further down this path, O = I'm comfortable, keep going. Use them anytime, no questions asked, no judgment. Open Door Policy: Step away from any session at any time, for any reason. Your wellbeing comes before the show. Stars and Wishes: At the end of each session, the table shares Stars (what worked) and Wishes (what could be better). Keeps the table improving. Aftercare: If a descent hits something heavy, I check in privately afterwards.
