About me
I don't use any generative AI in my games, nor do I approve the use of it by my players. I'm a human creativity-focused GM who loves to see my players flourish in a supportive and encouraging environment! I've been playing tabletop games since a friend introduced me to D&D 3.5e at age 10. Though these days, I prefer the simplicity of PbtA games, and the freedom that they give me to really dive deep into roleplay-focused stories. Monsterhearts is a dear favorite! I'm a writer, artist, and game designer by trade, with experience in the grotesque, the erotic, the romantic, and everything in between. I love to craft intricate worlds that my players can then interact with and change with their decisions. I'm disabled, neurodivergent, queer, and also very awesome and cool, which you may have already guessed. I'm accepting of all backgrounds, colors, and creeds in my games, as long as you're ALSO accepting! There's no room for hatred or bigotry at my table. I hope we'll be able to craft some amazing tales together!

Creating your character
Before Session 0, you will be given a series of playbooks to choose from to determine your character's monstrous identity. There will be a channel in the game's discord server for brainstorming dynamics with your fellow players. Players are allowed to use fanmade/unofficial skins in addition to the ones found in the core rulebook.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please have a Discord account and be willing to join my game server. No other VTT will be used.
What Naya brings to the table
Though I don't utilize a specific VTT, I provide visuals of NPCs, locations, and player characters. I enjoy making custom artwork of my players' funky little guys! Rule of Cool encourages roleplay lovers to really stretch their wings and see what they can do. Any combat won't be crunchy, and will rely more on roleplay than a series of complex dice rolls (but don't think you can get away from the fate the dice might have for you when you do roll them!). I encourage my players to communicate with me about expectations so that we can all enjoy ourselves as much as possible. I'm happy to provide a bespoke experience that will leave you eager to show up every week!

How Naya creates a safe table
Prior to the game, players will be provided with a confidential survey to tell me their lines and veils. During Session 0, we will go over them in a safe space where you can rest assured your limits will be respected even if you aren't comfortable admitting you're the one who put the line in place. Player comfort is paramount to me, and I will listen to any suggestions players have to ensure that that comfort isn't disrupted. My server has a series of Discord stickers designed to make flashing an X-card or a "Wait up, let's talk about this!" moment simple and noticeable. This helps players who may be uncomfortable verbalizing their limits to keep themselves safe. Bigotry, crossing lines set by tablemates, and deliberate trolling are not acceptable at my table, and anyone found to be making others uncomfortable will be spoken to (at best, in the event of fixable problems) or removed from the table (in the event of serious offenses like bigotry and harassment).
