About the adventure

Somewhere in the far reaches of the world, under a lost and lonely hill of grim and foreboding aspect lies the sinister Tomb of Horrors. A labyrinthine crypt, filled with terrible traps and not a few strange and ferocious monsters to slay the unwary, but containing just as many rich treasures both precious and magical. However, in addition to the aforementioned guardians, there is said to be a demilich somewhere within, who still wards his final haunt. Be warned that tales have it that this being, called Acererak, possesses powers that make him nearly undefeatable! This game is meant to be a short, high level campaign in which the players attempt to survive the famous dungeon. While, certain traps and encounters have been somewhat changed to work in pf2e, character deaths are to be expected, so be ready to try out multiple character builds!

About me

Hi I'm Freyja o/ I started playing DnD 7 years ago after playing on forums and immediately fell in love with the hobby. I quickly started filling my week with as many games as possible and soon started running my own games. I've ran many of the official campaigns and am currently running a yearlong homebrew game as well. Although I play mostly Pathfinder 2e nowadays, I love trying out new systems from Call of Ctuhlhu to Monster of the Week to Cryptid Creeks and Wanderhome. I'm also currently working on my own system about witches running a magic shop but it's far from done! Other than that, I'm currently studying digital art, I like to draw, craft and bake and play video games!

Character creation

Creating your character

Your character will start at level 12 and you should have them ready before the first session! We are not using any variant rules (no extra archetype or abp). You start with 4500gp and you may buy any common item up to level 11.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

All you need is a discord account and a character. We will play on foundry VTT, and if you build your character on pathbuilder you can import it directly!

What Freyja brings to the table

For this game I will provide a fun challenge for players that would like to try out some high level characters. The dungeon is famously mean, but my goal is to still make it fun! During the game, I stick mostly to the rules but I am always happy for you to come up with creative solutions to problems, though they might not always work outright and your behaviour will have consequences both negative and positive! I like to use high quality battlemaps as well as ambient maps, npc and monster art to create an image of the world our characters live in. I also use background music and some ambient sounds to enhance the play experience.

Homebrew rules

We are not using any homebrew rules.

Safety

How Freyja creates a safe table

I mainly use Lines and Veils and X, N and O cards as well as a checklist of sensitives subject matters for the particular game we play. Tomb of Horrors has some old school roots and is meant to be a meatgrinder dungeoncrawl. As such, violence and gore are par for the course. I will make sure to provide a list with potential content warnings beforehand! However if anything comes up during the game and you do not feel comfortable speaking up or sending a message in the group chat, you can either message me privately or even just send me an X and I will adjust the scene without revealing who requested it! Overall it is very important to me that everyone at the table feels safe and comfortable and you can always approach me with any concerns! Just because I lean certain ways with my GM style or certain things are included in the module, doesn't mean they cannot be adjusted so everyone can have fun!
