About the adventure
Greyhawk is a sword and sorcery world where the heroes are plentiful because the evils are rife! We are throwing out all sex-based determinants in the system, but are using racial level limits and all the other crunchy bits of AD&D. We are starting with Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh, moving into Against the Slavers, then completing the Falcon arc, then moving on to adventures in the Yatil mountains while the Greyhawk Wars rage around you. Upon emerging, you will ransack Castle Greyhawk's ruins for loot and fame, culminating in the ultimate test of Big Damn Heroes in Return to the Tomb of Horrors. For each module I will be using custom made maps or sourcing maps for the modules, with the exception of the Saltmarsh series, which will use the Ghosts of Saltmarsh maps in Roll20. All maps will have dynamic lighting and doors.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Welcome! I've been running games for over 40 years, and I've published material in the game industry before. If you decide to play with me, you'll discover a fun-forward game without having to drop the fun in favor of encumbrance. I tend to lean towards rules-as-written, but that's so we all start with the same rules. I will provide you with an experience that puts your character up front, with tie-ins to backstories and developing moments in the story that involve you directly. If you're looking for old-school style play with all the flavor of new editions and play styles, then I'm the DM for you.

Creating your character
4d6 keep the highest three rolled in the discord channel, and placed in the order rolled. Your dice will inform you what kind of character you get to play, and I encourage people to make two characters. AD&D can be lethal!
It’s a mix of veterans and newbies at the table. You can play 2 characters if you’d like.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Peruse the provided Player's Handbook or Unearthed Arcana to get an idea on how your class works. If you're a spellcaster, know your spells. As far as tech goes, we will be playing on Roll20 and communicating on Discord, so you'll need logins to both sites. I'll provide all the books you need, and I'll shoot you an invite to my Discord server.
What Uncle DM brings to the table
I'm bringing all the books, the VTT, the modules, and 45 years of gamemastering experience to this AD&D experience.
Homebrew rules
No gender-based discrimination in the rules system. Basically, we're throwing the gender rules out. No comeliness. No forced love potions.
