About the adventure
**This is my SW5E version of Art of Empire, if you’re looking for the SWRPG version, please go to my profile** Quick Overview: 🟣 Set 3,000 years before the movies, you’re part of an Sith Empire strike team. Navigate Sith rivalries, Mandalorian politics, a Republic in crisis, criminal syndicates, and the countless factions caught in the middle of the Great Galactic War. 🟣 Expect a collaborative storytelling table where you and other players interact with a living galaxy where military victories, political decisions, and your own choices reshape future missions and the worlds around you. 🟣 Tactical and cinematic combat, that will not be random encounters. Every time the party will fight, it’ll serve a purpose and add to the depth and gravity to the story. Campaign overview: In the year 3660 BBY (17 years before the events of SWTOR), the Galactic Republic and Sith Empire are vying for galactic control. The Republic is in full crisis, caught in the midst of war. A Mandalorian Blockade on the Hydian Way, a key trade route, has done what years of war has not: Inner and Core worlds that had relied on Outer Rim exports of medical, food and raw materials for war supplies are now stalled and rebellions are fomenting. Across the Inner Colonies, ration lines have grown long, dissent is growing amongst the populace, local governments are struggling to maintain control, and the Republic has begun desperately relying on smugglers in an attempt to keep a lifeline to the struggling worlds. In a strategic attempt to continue to build on the Republic’s disarray, the Sith Empire has drawn across their military, intelligence, Mandalorian alliances and Sith themselves, to assemble a team to strike behind Republic lines. You are a member of this strike team in support of the Empire’s efforts to destabilize and cripple the Republic. You will encounter missions of diplomacy, sabotage, infiltration, assassination, or supporting the front lines of the war effort. The Great Galactic War is approaching its final years and you must play your part, in the Art of Empire.

About me
Hey all! I'm Varex, a 26 year old from New Mexico. I've been playing TTRPGs for around four years now, although I've been writing and roleplaying with other people for a lot longer than that. I spent the better part of the last decade in the Star Wars: The Old Republic RP community, focusing on collaborative storytelling in and out of game (discord/thread RPs)! I only recently started GMing, but I'd been creating RP arcs and in-depth storylines as a player in a multiple long term campaigns and in RPGs, long before going behind the GM screen. I’ve honestly have fell in love with highs and lows in the TTRPG’s I've played in and can’t wait step on the other side of the table and roll some dice with y’all! Also I will not use any generative AI / LLM in my games! Additionally, I can work with some players if you’re experiencing economic hardship. Just let me know and we can work out a lower or free payment arrangement, here on SPG!

What Varex | Adrastos brings to the table
Here’s what you can expect from me as your GM: ☑️ Absolutely no AI will be used (nor allowed for players!). Human interaction and art is far superior. We should create good stories with each other, not with some LLM that destroys the environment! ☑️ Foundry VTT with live, animated custom maps, hundreds of ready static maps, animations to keep things running smoothly, along with thematic music to set the tone! ☑️ A roleplay-heavy campaign with meaningful combat, political intrigue, espionage, opportunities to explore and change the galaxy’s story. ☑️ Most sessions starts with a Holo-broadcast, keeping you in the loop with galactic news and how your party is influencing the war. ☑️ A Discord server that acts as the campaign hub, with rules, session recaps, lore, and a place for roleplay in-between if the party wants. ☑️ Willing to help and support any beginners or players new to Star Wars or the SW5E system! ☑️ I’m not a voice actor but I’ll create memorable characters, some of which will absolutely be terrible, and some, the most loved.
Homebrew rules
🖤 You can take a full action to get the full effects of any bonus action healing item 🖤 You can bring any updated sub-classes to me for review to incorporate, as long as it’s not overpowered. 🖤 Perception/insight checks are blind GM rolls 🖤 Death saves are also blind GM only rolls 🖤 We may have more homebrew rules as we continue to find what fits best for the party.

How Varex | Adrastos creates a safe table
Creating a table where everyone is comfortable is just as important to me as running a good game. Everyone at the table should be able to joining a session without worrying about whether something is going to cross a line or make them uncomfortable. Before we start, everyone will complete a consent form that I’ll use to establish our Lines & Veils, and stars and wishes. We’ll also cover expectations, boundaries, and any concerns during Session 0 so everyone is on the same page before the campaign begins. I believe that also that these are living and shifting boundaries and things can change later on, that’s completely okay. I’d much rather someone reach out than sit through a session they’re not enjoying. Here’s what you can expect: ☑️ A consent form completed before Session 0 to establish Lines & Veils. ☑️ A Session 0 where we’ll discuss boundaries, table expectations, campaign themes, and party connections. ☑️ An open-door policy. If something isn’t working for you, send me a message anytime and we’ll work on finding solutions! ☑️ A 10–15 minute break at the halfway mark in every session. ☑️ A collaborative table where everyone’s comfort is respected and nobody is expected to roleplay or engage with content they don’t want to. Campaign Breakdown * 🎭 Roleplay: ★★★★★ * 🏛️ Politics & Intrigue: ★★★★ ★ * ⚔️ Combat: ★★★★☆ * 🌌 Exploration: ★★★☆☆ * 🧩 Puzzles: ★★☆☆☆ Content Rating: R Expect war, political violence, assassination, espionage, descriptions of injury and death, and mature themes consistent with the Old Republic era.
