About the adventure
Beginner and LGBTQ+ friendly! Free Session 0! The game will begin only after the release of the Foundry module, which should be around the middle of August. "Bastion of Blasphemies is a horror-themed dungeon crawl set in the immense castle of Bastardhall, a haunted castle ruins that shows up once a century with a black coach that invites people to the castle to never come back. Those who refuse the invitation die strange and horrible deaths within a single week. The daughter of one of those who died from refusing an invitation found a way to get into the castle without being carried by the coach, and she needs adventurers to join her in this exploration for the secrets of Bastardhall." Bastion of Blasphemies is, at its heart, a campaign that focuses on exploration and combat, yet there’s more to this Adventure Path than dungeon crawling. A complex mystery and dozens of ancient secrets lie in wait for you to uncover. The connection to a "Metroidvania" is not exagerated. According to Wikipedia, a Metroidvania is "a sub-genre of action-adventure games focused on nonlinear exploration and guided progression with a need to acquire key items to enter certain areas", with the name inspired by Metroid and Castlevania games. Bastardhall has those exact qualities, including a secret ending if all secrets of the dungeon are discovered. The party will move through the open halls of the castle at their own pace and choice, and, at times, even finding challenges above the party's level. Some areas will be locked at the start, only to be unlocked when certain key items are obtained or key creatures are killed. From there, you'll be allowed to once again move freely through the newly opened areas, to encounter new challenges and discover new secrets. You'll enjoy Bastion of Blasphemies if: - You are interested in a TTRPG experience that reminds you of Dark Souls and Castlevania; - You enjoy dungeon crawling; - The idea of an open ended, living, singular megadungeon is interesting to you; - You have fun with the break in pace of finding lore pieces and figuring out the backstory of the dungeon; You might not enjoy Bastion of Blasphemies if: - You don't enjoy combat as the primary pillar of a campaign; - You want to ONLY do combat and don't find the other parts of the game as interesting.

About me
Hello! I'm Taya, Brazilian, he/him, 30, and I've been playing tabletops for 15 years now, DMing for 12 of these. I've always been a creative kid, and I would certainly have been a theater kid had I had the chance. I have experience with D&D 3e, 3.5, 4e, 5e, Pathfinder, Pathfinder 2e and Starfinder. I've also read Worlds Without Number, Stars Without Number and Avatar Legends, but never played them. I'm willing to teach anyone no matter the skill level, my style is focused on having fun as players while playing within the rules, also trying to create NPCs and stories you'll be both entertained and invested in. Games 100% LGBTQ+ friendly!

Creating your character
Characters will be created during session 0 on Foundry, voice over discord. Campaign starts at level 5, ends at level 13 or 14 depending on how much exploration the group does. We will be using Free Archetype and Gradual Ability Boost. Many third party books will be available, including all of Team+ books. Uncommon ancestries, heritages and classes allowed. Uncommon spells, feats and all rare options (classes, ancestries, feats, etc) are allowed on a case-by-case basis.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
An understandable microphone and a discord account are necessary. Try to have your mind open to characters options, as party composition is quite important in Pathfinder. Also, if you haven't played Pathfinder 2e before, let me know so I'll know how to best prepare for you. Foundry VTT makes it so much easier to learn the system, so don't be afraid of joining in!
What Taya brings to the table
- A GM with willingness to change the original campaign to better suit the party; - A custom mini-adventure during session 0 to describe the feats the party did together from levels 1 to 4; - Immersive roleplay and tactical combat; - Great knowledge of Pathfinder 2e rules; - A plethora of third party books, including all of Team+ books; - As a GM, I don't aim to "win" or "defeat the players", I want to make it a memorable experience!
Homebrew rules
Free Archetype with the following change: - You can have two archetypes going at the same time even if you don't have three feats in the first one, but if you go for a third archetype, you need to have three feats in either of the first two before getting a new one (Example: if at level 2 you select fighter and barbarian dedication, you can only select a new archetype after getting two new feats, totaling three, from either fighter or barbarian archetype); Gradual Ability Boost with the following change: - You can only get 5 in an attribute at level 10, and only 6 at level 20. For this campaign, this means the maximum you'll be able to get is 5. For non-rogues, Mobility is a level 4 feat. - I don't like Mobility being accessible with Basic Trickery.

How Taya creates a safe table
We will use a free Session 0 to talk about the tone of the game so we all have the same expectations. I'll give everyone a link to a google document where you'll be able to input your own Lines and Veils. I'm also always open to feedback if there's anything you'd like to see less of.
