About the adventure
This is one of the monster-hunting adventures from "Heliana's Guide to Monster Hunting" by Loot Tavern. In this adventure you'll start in the famous astral-traveling pub and pick up a job that will lead to investigating a town racked by recent calamitous events. And the danger doesn't seem like it will be contained to this one place, so something has to be done about it. At the very least, there's a decent amount of coin to be made if you don't care about civilian casualties or existential threats. About me
I love TTRPGs and the idea of supporting myself via that love would be a dream come true. As a game-runner I have learned how to adapt and customize my games, as well as create connections and plot lines for my players. From one-shots to ongoing campaigns, I'm looking forward to being able to run great games for the people of the internet.

Creating your character
We will handle character creation with a Session Zero. Stats will be chosen by point-buy. Characters will be level 4 and remain as such through the adventure. Sheets can be created through D&D Beyond, digital sheet, or pencil-and-paper. All core D&D 5e content is allowed, and options from "Heliana's Guide to Monster Hunting" will be made available as much as possible.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a Discord account, dice, paper or digital character sheet, computer with internet connection, a microphone, and a knowledge of the basic rules of D&D 5e.
What Bernard brings to the table
For my games, I generally stick to the established rules but on occasion the "Rule of Cool" will take over. My game-running style could be described as "atmospheric" as I like to help my players feel immersed. Through the use of colorful descriptions, character voices, music tracks, and soundboards, I hope to bring the game world to life. Combat uses a virtual tabletop to give you a visual representation for tactical play and pulling off your plans. We can upload custom image files for your characters, and if you need help I can even put something together for you.

How Bernard creates a safe table
Players will be sent a file of the Monte Cook content checklist to fill out and return to me. Anything that they wish their fellow players to be made aware of can be, otherwise I will not divulge said information and simply use it to cater the appropriate experience. Particular content for a session will be brought up ahead of time if necessary. Issues during games can be brought up and if necessary changed during game or we can pause to discuss.
