About the adventure
>// The Worlds of Tomorrow are in Your Hands Today! // Attention players and pilots! If you are reading this than you may be seeking out a more, "specific" vision of the future. A shining shared hallucination of chrome and molded plastic that never quite survived the radical attitude of the 90's. Where the computers are beige and blocky with green vector displays, and the space stations look like massive roulette wheels drifting through the stars. Come take a seat at an asteroid-side diner, order a milkshake from a hyper reflective hard bodied android while upbeat jazz crackles on the slipspace radio. This vision of the future isn't real, but one night each week we can pretend it is for a few hours. Players should expect an open form Sandbox campaign with a strong emphasis on Roleplay and Exploration. Players will take the role of a freelance crew for hire, searching for work and odd jobs in a universe that wants to exploit you and a vast unknowable cosmos that wants to consume you. Despite the aesthetic shift, this is still Mothership. This game is extremely inclusive pro LGBTQ+ space. Bigotry and hatred will not be tolerated. Potential Published Adventures: Desert Moon of Karth, Abilities Considered Unnatural, Hull Breach, Moonbase Blues, Out of Darkness, This Ship is a Tomb, The Earth Above, Dead Planet, Gradient Descent, Another Bug Hunt, A Pound of Flesh & more to come. Appendix N: Alien (1979), Bladerunner (1982), the Jetsons (1962), Star Trek: TOS (1966), Metropolis (1927), Brazil (1985), Mighty Orbots (1984), 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), Cowboy Bebop (1998), Space Dandy (2014), Interstella 5555 (2003), Akira (1988), Redline (2011), Escape from New York (1981), Playtime (1967), Dragons Haven (1988) & Kaiba (2008).

About me
Hello Everyone! I'm Daria (She/Her), a trans RPG writer and GM from the Midwest (USA). You can find my work featured in the first two issues of Knock, as well as the upcoming Beetle Knight TTRPG. I've been playing TTRPG's since I was 7 years old, and been running weekly games for my family and friends since 2015. I have experience with a long list of TTRPG's, but my recurring favorites are Troika!, Mork Borg, Mausritter, and Mothership. My games here will almost always be held on Roll20, and tend to skew more towards an open world sandbox style of play. Horror also tends to be a consistent prominent theme in the games I run, as Monster/ Creature reveals are one of my personal specialties.

Creating your character
Character creation will happen on the first session (or the next session after you've joined). We'll make our characters on the Mothership Companion which heavily automates and speeds up the process.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please have access to Discord and the Mothership Companion, this can be accessed via a web browser or the mobile application. You do not need to pay for any of the upgrades to the mothership companion, the free version will be perfectly fine, but you can if you want to. Access to spotify in order to listen to the curated playlist is optional, but encouraged for the full retro-futurist vibe.
What Daria brings to the table
The game will be played on my Discord Server and the Mothership Companion. The Mothership Companion functions as a basic VTT that tracks your character, rolls, ship maps and resources all in one convenient place. I've also curated a spotify playlist for the campaign for those who want to use it.
Homebrew rules
I've curated a handful of Custom Classes including: Bounty Hunter, Death Doula, Cryptozoologist, Asteroid miner, Void Musician, Rim Farmer, Lawyer, Agent.

How Daria creates a safe table
We will end each session with a short debriefing where we talk about the things we talk about the session. Things you did or didn't like, and things you'd like to see in the future of the campaign. At any point between sessions, any player may send me a discord DM for one on one aftercare.
