About the adventure
0️⃣ As normal, Session 0 is free -- I'll outline the campaign in more detail, we'll all get to know each other a bit, discuss potential house rules, and you can even start building characters during it if you'd like. ⭐ This campaign begins with the new Beginner Box experience -- Secrets of the Unlit Star. If you have never played PF2e before, it's the perfect way to try, no prior knowledge of the system required whatsoever. The adventure is structured in a way that slowly unveils new game mechanics and allows me to teach the players through play, instead of dumping rulebook excerpts on them. 🏘️ Once the Beginner Box is complete (which will usually take 2 sessions), the party moves on to the "Troubles in Grayce" -- an anthology of adventures set in the creepy gothic land of Ustalav, specifically a small town named Grayce. These adventures are horror-themed (though the horror elements can be toned down if the party is uncomfortable), and take the party to level 5, after about 8-12 sessions. -- At this point either the campaign ends, or if everyone is interested in continuing, we can move on to the "Bastion of Blasphemies" -- 🏰 Bastion of Blasphemies is an adventure path set in an ancient haunted castle. Explore the sprawling keep, open up new paths, and face numerous unholy residents of this cursed place. This adventure will take the party all the way to level 14, at which point the campaign ends. (I expect this part to take ~30 sessions).

About me
I'm equally interested in both balanced high crunch games, and in rules-lite narrative-first systems. I am eager to host many different games to further my understanding of game design to help with personal projects.

Creating your character
If you're a beginner and you're just looking to try out PF2e, there's a whole suite of pregenerated characters you can choose from. If, later, you want to continue with your own character -- I'd be happy to help you build one, if needed. Other than that, it's a standard level 1 start. For the adventure to work best your character should be interested in helping out people in the town of Grayce, and/or be interested in exploring the unholy places/influences around Ustalav.
The game has started, but unfortunately ran into complications with scheduling, so we're currently looking for new players. It's still the very start, and the first level. If you're new to PF2e, you won't have to start in the thick of it, and I'm still more happy to on-board you properly
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need: - A Discord account - PC capable of running complex web pages (Foundry is played in-browser)
What Moonshie brings to the table
I will be using the official Foundry module for all adventures, so you can expect high-quality battlemaps and beautiful token artwork. I'll stick as close to Rules as Written as possible while still being reasonable narratively, but I'm more than happy to let the players follow their unique trouble-solving methods, assuming they actually have a chance of working. The game will feature a lot of high-stakes tactical combat that will get more complex as time goes on.
Homebrew rules
- The Lore skill you acquire from the background will scale automatically with levels, which might make it a little bit more useful - You will start with extra Hero Points, and the option to spend them on behalf of your allies - If the party is interested, we can play with Free Archetype and Ancestry Paragon, as decided during the Session 0

How Moonshie creates a safe table
- Baseline Lines and Veils will be set from the start, with potentially more added by players if needed. - The X-card is available during the game in the form of a module on Foundry. - Any additional things can be discussed during Session 0.
