About the adventure
Greta base has been survived and the team have a lead on Hinton's whereabouts. As he’s so far from either base, they decide to track down the android and find out what he’s up to. All this whilst keeping their orders in mind, but as things have changed -a lot-. Joining the crew will be easy and there are many ways to bring in new characters. You’ll be exploring the strange planet and its wildlife soon enough. Each session focuses on as aspect of Another Bug hunt, which has four main scenes and each can be played out in a single session. The third part will be at Heron base and the fourth, well you’ll need ot be there to find out. If you’ve played the Greta Base and want to see how it finishes, jump on in. You’ll be warmly welcomed. Mothership at its heart is sci-fi horror, that puts you and your crew in the most inhospitable environment known to humanity: outer space. The system is refreshingly simple and uses a d100 mechanic that ensures you always know how likely you are to succeed or fail. Stress accumulates and at some point Panic sets in. Welcome aboard, and do remain calm… if you can.

About me
Hey there, I'm Japes (jay-ps). I'll be your Game Master and am the person responsible for bringing the games together. Fair warning: I'm dyslexic and have a dry sense of humour. Both rule KO here… I first ran D&D as a young person, and have always found so much fun with it. With that said there are so many great systems, and I now run games for many of the ones I love. During all this time I’ve found that the shared experience of these fantasy worlds is like a simmering cauldron: we all put our ideas in, give it a gentle stir and see what its like. Meaning at this table, there is plenty of room for your imagination to take flight... just don't be like Icarus! All the games I run are in a safe, creative space. All I ask from you is to be courteous to everyone in the game. It doesn't matter if you're playing a 1920s FBI agent in a Cthulhu Mythos romp, a piece of Sapient Pearwood in Discworld, or a Fairy Barbarian who growls at enemies. And when at the table, play it like you mean it. Come join us, as I can't wait to see the great ideas you come up with.

Creating your character
Character creation will take a few minutes at the start of the session. The hardest part is choosing one of the 4 classes, oh and a name. • Marines • Androids • Scientists • Teamsters Happy to chat about each of them if needed.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
No experience needed. I genuinely enjoy helping new players find their feet in a new game system. What I do hope you'll bring: • A desire to roleplay your character and be a cooperative player. • No need for a 'character voice', but this is a safe and welcoming place to give it a try if you'd like to. Equipment • A reliable PC with a Chromium-based browser. • A working gaming headset, or a mic and headphones. • A webcam is optional but highly recommended and it really does add to the experience. • Free accounts for the systems we use. I'll send links once you've joined.
What Japes brings to the table
• I'll guide you through the game mechanics as we play, so there's nothing to worry about if you're still getting the hang of things. • I bring the NPCs to life with voices of their own, and love it even more when players join in too. • Colour, hand-drawn maps and all the great features FoundryVTT has to offer. • Background music, with the volume fully in your control. • Storytelling that brings real narrative suspense to the table. • A sprinkle of dry humour that gives every game its own unique flavour.

Safety
How Japes creates a safe table
• We'll be using the Deck of Player Safety, which lets you share your Lines privately. • I'm committed to making these games inclusive for every player at the table. • We'll take a 5–10 minute break halfway through the session, plenty of time to top up drinks and snacks.
