About the adventure
Over 400 years ago a group of adventurers defeated the evil sorcerer Belcorra, in her home below the lighthouse known as Gauntlight. Having lost both their friend and their taste for adventuring, the three surviving members of the Roseguard decided to retire. They spent much of their savings constructing several buildings and a sizable pier to the south of their final battle. Founding the village of Otari. Now the long abandoned and landlocked lighthouse has begon to glow with a baleful light, and Wrin Sivinxi is reaching out to her friends looking for heroes to find out what is happening and protect the town. Do you have what it takes to delve into the dungeon of horror and find out what's happening?

About me
I've been playing Tabletop RPGs for over 17 years, with the majority being online since 2014. I started with Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 for the first 4 or 5 years, then moved to Pathfinder for a few years, mostly as a player while running 3.5 games, and ran some Pathfinder one shots in that time. I started running D&D5e in 2015 and continued until late 2023. Been running the Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars RPG on and off since 2015. I'm non-binary and use they/them. My games are all LGBTQIA+ friendly. While I don't run adult content in my games, I wouldn't say they're family friendly. I'm happy to discuss running any game I have up on my profile at a different time, or running homebrew games in any of the systems mentioned above, just reach out!

Creating your character
Character creation will be part of session 0, or session 1 if we aren't finished by then. Players are encouraged to have some idea of what you want to play, whether that's a fantasy archetype you'd like to play or a class/ancestry combination you want to build around, but I ask that no one builds character sheets until we have a chance to talk as a group.

What River brings to the table
I have a host of premium and free modules in place to insure the game run smoothly. I bring with me a strong understanding of the rules and experience with cross referencing content, ensuring a cohesive gameplay experience.
Homebrew rules
When you reroll with a hero point and the die is a 10 or less, you add +10 (handled automatically). I use the old hero point recovery rules. If you have at least 1 Hero Point, you can spend all of your remaining Hero Points at the start of your turn or when your dying value would increase. You lose the dying condition entirely and return to 1 hit point. You don't gain the wounded condition or increase its value from losing the dying condition in this way, but if you already had that condition, you don't lose it or decrease its value.
