About me
I'm D.M Conrad, I've playing RPGs for so long, and at some point along the way, I wanted to create my own world. So thats what I did, I love what I created and love even more to see the players changing the world as they interact with it. There is a beauty in the uniqueness of every world that sets TTRPG apart from everything else. If you want a DM who is fair and likes Roleplay a lot, hit me up so we can play together.

Creating your character
We will create our character together in a session 0 Or if you already have a character you can join my campaign at DnD Beyond and we can create it there.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
The things you will need for the game are: A personal computer to join in FoundryVTT. Access to the internet. Microphone. Discord installed.
What Conrad brings to the table
I will use a webcam, as long as it does not affect the players’ internet connections, so you can see my reactions and feel more immersed in the narration. I will also be using a microphone. I am knowledgeable about the rules and the system, though I am not infallible, so pointers and corrections are always appreciated. I will bring artwork, setting material, battle maps, Foundry VTT modules and extensions, and many other tools to help us focus more on playing and having fun, and less on calculations.
Homebrew rules
The only homebrew rule I use is Hero Points. Each character can hold up to three Hero Points at a time. These are awarded for heroic actions, such as helping a party member, overcoming a dangerous challenge, or completing a difficult quest. A Hero Point can be spent to add 1d6 to one of your rolls, giving you a chance to turn the tide when it matters most.

How Conrad creates a safe table
16+ more Breaking the Ice In every RPG, whether played among friends or with strangers, it all begins with introductions. Session 0 kicks off with getting to know each other. House Rules and Modifications We will talk about some rules and modifications to add some flavor to the Campaign. Addressing Concerns We will address the concerns about the session and the campaign itself and open a discussion to see the boundaries of each individual and what they expect. Outlining the Campaign I'll provide an overview of the Campaign so you can create your character accordingly and tie him up to the story. Discussing Themes and Tone I'll explain the game theme and tone of the Campaign so everyone knows what to expect to happen. Collaboration and Input We will discuss ideas and inputs provided by the players so we can define what we can add to make the Campaign more suited to everyone. Unleashing Creativity We will create the characters. Balancing Mechanics and Roleplay We will define the balance between rules and roleplay and how to make it feel fair and fun. Tying Characters to the World We will connect the character to the story. Establishing Limits We will define boundaries so everyone can share what is a NO for them so we can possibly avoid it so everyone can feel safe. Handling Conflict and PvP We will discuss how we are going to handle conflict and PvP, not just mechanically but also mentally. Safety Tools and Consent We will define the safety tools that are going to be used to help everyone have a good time by having themselves heard and making their concerns clear so we work on them. Testing the platform and ourselves We will do a quick combat session to feel the characters, their strengths, and their limitations. And also, learn a bit about the rules and the platform we are going to use called: Fantasy Grounds. FAQs Q: Can I join this table without any prior experience? Yes, you can. I will help you by showing you the hopes on how to use the TTRPG platform, the rules, and everything else, so don't worry. Q: How long does a typical Session 0 last? The session will take from 1 to 3 hours. Q: Can I play an evil character in an RPG? On this one story, no. It is expected that the characters in this adventure are good-aligned since their motivations need to fight the evil lurking here. And also, being an evil character in this adventure can have catastrophic repercussions for the character. Q: Can I create a custom race or class for my character? We are going to be using all published books so far for the creation of the characters, and the rules for character creation will be discussed in depth in session 0. If you want to try something homebrew or from Unearthed Arcana you can ask me about it. Q: What happens if I can't attend Session 0? If you can't attend Session 0, it's essential to communicate with me beforehand. I'll arrange for you a meeting so I can explain you everything.
