About the adventure
London, 1560s. At Newgate Prison, two prisoners chant the same infernal lines over and over. They committed strange crimes they cannot remember. You are Agents of Dioscoria, a hidden isle of mystics, rebels, scholars, duelists, and spies. This one-shot is for players who enjoy occult mystery, dramatic roleplay, dangerous magic, and moral choices. The tone is dark, theatrical, and tense, but still adventurous and character-driven. You might stop the ritual through investigation, persuasion, sabotage, swordplay, or sorcery. No experience with The Hidden Isle or Tarot is needed. The rules are light and easy to learn during play, using Tarot cards instead of dice to create a mystical, story-focused experience.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
Preparation No experience with The Hidden Isle or Tarot is required. The rules will be explained during play, and I will guide everyone through the card draws. Before the game, please: 1. Make sure your StartPlaying account is ready and that you have joined the game. 2. Join the Discord server before the session. Voice chat will be handled there. 3. Have a working microphone and a quiet place to play. 4. Use a computer, tablet, or stable browser setup if possible. 5. Bring a character idea, or choose one of the pre-generated Agents provided. Read any short character or setting notes I send before the game. Arrive a few minutes early so we can check audio and answer rules questions.

What I Provide I will provide everything needed to play: the adventure, rules guidance, character creation help, pre-generated characters if needed, visual handouts, and a clear introduction to The Hidden Isle. You do not need to own the rulebook or know Tarot. I will guide the table through the rules and card draws as we play.

How nylo creates a safe table
Safety and Comfort Player safety matters at my table. This adventure includes occult horror, demonic possession, imprisonment, injury, religious themes, manipulation, and tense moral choices, so I will check in before play begins and make sure everyone knows what kind of story they are joining.
