About the adventure
In 1845, the Oregon Trail was a path to freedom and a second Canaan to many in search of a new start. The promise of fertile farmland, lush fields and forests, and good mining drew many from all walks of life -- including you. But while most travellers on the Trail seek their freedom and their fortune, your mission is quite different, for you have been sent to bring the Society west to California. There, the ancient mountains and primordial forests host all manner of spirits who will surely not take kindly to so many newcomers arriving so rapidly to their homes and holes. And of course, who knows what spirits you might encounter on the Trail west?

About me
I have always loved to tell stories! In fact, it's what I went to school for. I was a film major and an English minor, with emphasis on screen writing and creative writing. When my husband, then my boyfriend, introduced me to ttrpgs, it was a Starfinder 1e game--clunky, not super great for total beginners, but what a blast! Then D&D 5e came to town, and that was the main game for us, until recently, when we've started branching out. That was almost 8 years ago. Since then, I've DMd two full D&D 5e campaigns, and my homebrew campaign is currently on a hiatus so I can write the next chapter. I'm running two Call of Cthulhu campaigns, two D&D 5.5e games, and amd preparing a Forbidden Lands and a Vaesen campaign. I am also running a D&D 5.5e game, a learn to play for a parent-child party of two. I recently concluded a Cairn game. I regularly welcome new players to my table, to either the system, TTRPGs in general, or both. I have mostly run games for adults, but in my life before becoming a professional GM, I worked for 3 years in daycare as an Early Childhood teacher, so I'm no stranger to young people. I love creating stories for characters to inhabit--it literally makes me happier than almost anything in the world. Writing and storytelling is my passion, and ttrpgs feel like home. How Amanda creates a safe table
I use the MCDM safety sheet, which I will provide as soon as you join. I also periodically ask for Stars and Wishes, provide session breaks, and remain open for private DMing if players ever have a problem. Alchemy also has a built-in anonymous X-card function, which I make sure to point out to players at the start of any campaign, as well as Lines and Veils that players can fill out anonymously and which are then shared with the party as a whole, as well as a chance for me to provide content warnings at the start of each session.
