About the adventure

Tomb of Annihilation, 2014 Rules A full campaign running from level 1 to 11. Tomb of Annihilation is a long form Dungeons & Dragons campaign focused on exploration, survival, danger, and discovery. The adventure begins with a mysterious curse affecting the world, and your characters become involved in an expedition to a distant and dangerous land in search of answers. A large part of the campaign centers on traveling through hostile environments, making choices about where to go, dealing with uncertainty, and uncovering places that have been lost or forgotten. Combat is important, but exploration, planning, and adapting to situations are just as valuable. Tomb of Annihilation takes place on the peninsula of Chult in the Forgotten Realms. Chult is a tropical wilderness composed mostly of jungles, plateaus, impassable mountains, and belching volcanoes. This campaign will not be run as a meat grinder. Danger is real, and consequences matter, but the goal is not to throw constant unavoidable lethal encounters at you. You will have room to plan, make decisions, and avoid problems when you approach them well. If things go badly, it will come from choices, risk, and dice, not from the campaign being designed to remove characters at random. More details about the campaign, setting, and story will be explained later. I plan to go over everything again during Session 0 as a group, but if anyone wants, I am also happy to do a quick 1 on 1 call beforehand to talk through the campaign, answer questions, and help with character ideas.

About me

Hello adventurers, my name’s Goobee. I’ve been a Dungeon Master for D&D 5E for three years, running multiple games a week for a lot of different groups. I’m passionate about the game, and my tables have consistently had a great time. I run official Wizards of the Coast modules such as Curse of Strahd, Out of the Abyss, The Wild Beyond the Witchlight, Chains of Asmodeus, and Ghosts of Saltmarsh. I also run my own home-brewed setting: a classic open-world sandbox built around character motivation and backstory. I’m open to running other books on request with prep time. I hope you consider me as your Dungeon Master for your next adventure.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will happen individually as we find players, so we can get everyone set up without waiting for the full group. If you prefer, you can also wait until Session 0 and make your character together with everyone else to help fit them into the group and party dynamic.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Very simple setup. Before playing, make sure you have: • A working microphone • Headphones or a headset to avoid echo and make communication easier Any other accounts, links, or setup details will be shared before the game starts.

What Goobee brings to the table

I’ll provide campaign materials, character creation help, and session organization. My GM style focuses on player choice, roleplay, and flexible rulings when they improve the game. I’m also available outside session hours if you want to talk about your character, develop ideas, or get help with anything related to the game.

Homebrew rules

Very few homebrew rules. I mostly stick to the standard rules. One exception is that death saving throws are rolled privately to the DM instead of publicly to add tension and uncertainty during critical moments.
