About the adventure
From a simple frontier job to a war that will decide the fate of the realm. This Savage Worlds campaign begins with a simple opportunity, a job escorting a wagon of supplies to the frontier town of Red Rock. Hired by a dwarf with a mysterious past, your characters expect a straightforward journey and an easy payday. Instead, they are drawn into a dangerous conflict involving goblin raiders, forgotten secrets, and a mystery far larger than anyone expected. What begins as a small adventure on the edge of civilisation grows into something far greater as ancient threats awaken, alliances are tested, and a powerful hobgoblin army begins its march toward conquest. The choices you make, the allies you earn, and the risks you take will shape the fate of the region. Using fast paced and cinematic Savage Worlds rules with expanded character options from Pathfinder for Savage Worlds, this campaign is about becoming the heroes you always imagined. Build the character you want to play, whether warrior, spellcaster, rogue, or something entirely unique, and watch them grow from unknown adventurers into legendary heroes. Explore forgotten ruins, uncover lost treasures, battle dangerous monsters, and build lasting relationships with the world around you. This is a game for players who enjoy epic fantasy, character driven storytelling, and exciting fast paced combat where clever thinking and bold action matter. Expect a world that reacts to your choices, where consequences matter and heroism is earned. You begin on the frontier as unknown adventurers and rise through your actions into figures capable of shaping the fate of an entire region. This campaign uses Lost Mine of Phandelver as the opening adventure before expanding into Red Hand of Doom. The early sessions establish your party, your reputation, and your ties to the frontier. What begins as a search for a lost mine becomes a desperate struggle against a hobgoblin invasion that threatens the realm. The transition between the two adventures has been adapted and expanded to create a single continuous narrative, allowing the story to flow naturally from frontier exploration into full scale war. As the campaign continues, the war will escalate whether or not the heroes are ready. The hobgoblin forces are not static, and time will matter. The party will need to choose where to act, who to aid, and what risks to take as the invasion unfolds. Victory will depend not only on strength in battle but on the decisions made when the stakes are at their highest.

About me
I have always enjoyed crafting stories and sharing them with other people. Although I have played for years I fell hard for this hobby during the height of the pandemic. This led me to completely engross myself in the world of TTRPGs and I have run multiple games a week since then.

Creating your character
Before the adventure begins, we will hold a Session 0 where players can introduce themselves, discuss expectations, and work together to develop character concepts and relationships. This is a great opportunity to establish connections within the party and create a group that feels like it has a shared history from the very beginning. I welcome all character concepts at the table, from classic heroes to unusual and unexpected ideas. The most important thing is that your character has a reason to work alongside the party and contribute to the adventure. A great story is built by a group of characters who may have different goals and personalities, but who are willing to stand together when the challenges ahead arrive. When creating your character, consider what brought them to the frontier and what keeps them fighting when the stakes become larger. Your character does not need to be a perfect hero, but they should have a reason to stand against the dangers threatening the people around them. While characters may have flaws, secrets, or complicated pasts, they should ultimately be willing to cooperate with their companions and face the challenges ahead together. Characters will begin as Novice heroes. While the campaign will start with smaller threats and personal challenges, your characters will grow in power, influence, and reputation as they face increasingly dangerous enemies. This adventure is designed to take your characters all the way to Legendary Rank, allowing you to experience the full journey from unknown adventurers on the frontier to heroes whose actions can change the fate of the realm. We will be using FoundryVTT through The Forge as our virtual tabletop. I have access to the complete collection of Pathfinder for Savage Worlds materials and will be available to help with character creation, rules questions, or anything else you need throughout the campaign. Players are welcome to choose Edges and Hindrances from any Pathfinder for Savage Worlds sourcebooks. Whether you have a specific character idea in mind or want to create something completely unique, I am happy to work with you and help bring your vision to life. If you can imagine the hero, we can find a way to make them fit into the story.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Before the campaign begins, please complete the following steps: 1. Create a Discord account and install Discord if you do not already have one. Discord will be used for campaign communication, discussing rules, sharing ideas, and coordinating between sessions. Join the campaign Discord server using the invitation link I will provide after you join the game. This will be our main place for discussing the campaign, asking questions, and sharing character ideas. 2. Create a Forge account so you can access our virtual tabletop. We will be using FoundryVTT through The Forge for game play, character sheets, maps, and other campaign materials. 3. Complete the Lines and Veils questionnaire after joining the game. This helps establish everyone's boundaries and ensures we create a comfortable environment for all players. During Session 0, we will review Lines and Veils together so everyone understands what topics are on and off the table before the adventure begins. 4. Come prepared to discuss your character ideas during Session 0. If you already have a character concept, background idea, or a particular type of hero you would like to play, feel free to bring it with you. Session 0 will be where we finalise characters, answer questions, and work together to create a party with strong connections and shared reasons for adventuring together. If you need help setting anything up or have questions about character creation, rules, or the virtual tabletop, feel free to reach out. I am happy to help make sure everyone is ready before we begin.
What GM Ryu (Joshua) brings to the table
My goal is to create a memorable, immersive, and collaborative experience where your characters feel like the heroes of their own story. I put a strong emphasis on atmosphere, storytelling, and making the world feel alive. To help set the tone, I provide carefully selected ambient music tailored to the moment, whether it is the tension of an approaching battle, the mystery of an ancient ruin, or the triumph of a hard-fought victory. I believe in the Rule of Cool. While the rules provide the foundation for the game, I want your characters to have moments where they feel powerful, creative, and larger than life. If you have a clever idea or an exciting way to approach a situation, I will work with you to make it happen while keeping the game balanced and enjoyable for everyone at the table. Savage Worlds is a system I know and love. I have extensive experience with the rules and its various subsystems, allowing me to keep the game moving while still providing tactical and meaningful challenges. My goal is not just to know the rules, but to use them to support the story we are creating together. World-building is one of my greatest passions as a GM. I enjoy creating detailed settings filled with history, cultures, conflicts, and mysteries for players to discover. While the adventure has a planned direction, the world will respond to your choices, and I will do my best to make the setting feel rich, dynamic, and worthy of your characters' stories.

How GM Ryu (Joshua) creates a safe table
Creating a fun and welcoming table is a priority. Before the campaign begins, we will use Session 0 to discuss expectations, introduce safety tools, finalize character concepts, and make sure everyone is comfortable with the tone and themes of the campaign. After joining the game, players will receive a link to the campaign’s Lines and Veils document. This will allow everyone to privately identify topics they would like to avoid (Lines) or topics that are acceptable but handled off-screen (Veils). We will review these boundaries together during Session 0 so everyone understands what is and is not on the table. During play, we will use an X Card safety tool through our virtual tabletop. If a player is ever uncomfortable with something happening in the game, they can use the X Card to signal that we should move away from that content without needing to explain or justify their choice. The goal is to keep the focus on telling an exciting story while making sure everyone at the table feels respected and comfortable. Open communication is encouraged throughout the campaign. If something comes up during or after a session, players are always welcome to reach out privately. My goal is to create a space where everyone feels safe taking risks, engaging with the story, and enjoying the adventure together.
