About the adventure
New to D&D or looking for a focused dungeon crawl? This short campaign takes you into the Sunless Citadel, a buried ruin where missing adventurers, strange magic, rival kobold and goblin factions, and something growing in the dark all collide. This is a complete 8-10 session adventure for levels 1-3 using D&D 5e 2024 rules. Expect exploration, tactical combat, traps, puzzles, treasure, and real choices without needing a years-long campaign commitment. Beginners are very welcome. I will help with rules, character choices, and table expectations, while keeping the game moving and giving experienced players plenty of meaningful decisions.

About me
Hello and welcome to my page! I'm Kendall and I have been playing TTRPG's since I was a teenager, and before that I was dreaming about them! I've been a GM for games such as Daggerheart, Pathfinder, and Starfinder for nearly 6 years. It's something I enjoy immensely, and I love creating worlds for players (just like you!) to adventure in!

Creating your character
Characters start at level 1. We will be playing a Session 0 where each player generates a character along with the other players. Please do not come with a pre-planned character! New players do not need to arrive knowing every rule
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Before the first session, please join the game chat and make sure your microphone works. Please do not build a full character in advance. We will use Session 0 to make characters together as a group, connect them to the adventure, and make sure everyone understands the basics before play begins. You are welcome to bring a few loose character ideas, but leave room for the group to shape the party together. New players do not need to study the rules ahead of time. Bring curiosity, a cooperative attitude, and a willingness to jump into a classic dungeon crawl.
What GM Kendall brings to the table
I use music to help set the mood of the game and custom Foundry VTT modules to enhance the visuals and mechanics of play. I provide prepared maps, handouts, creature references, clear rulings, and a steady pace that keeps the dungeon moving. My focus is on telling an engaging story and creating great gaming moments over doing funny voices for NPCs. Expect meaningful choices, tactical danger, exploration, puzzles, treasure, and room for character moments without letting the game stall.
Homebrew rules
I use a custom initiativeless system designed to keep the game flowing, keep every player engaged, and keep the characters on edge. I will explain exactly how it works before combat starts, and I use it to make action feel fast, tense, and responsive rather than like everyone is waiting for their turn in a fixed order.

How GM Kendall creates a safe table
We will start with a Session 0 check-in to confirm tone, boundaries, and expectations. I use Lines and Veils, an open-door policy, and private messaging if anyone needs to flag a concern during play. The game is adventurous rather than graphic. The Sunless Citadel includes fantasy violence, monsters, dark underground spaces, traps, and unsettling magic, but I will fade to black or redirect content when needed. My table expectations are simple: respect the other players, share spotlight, keep character conflict consensual, and help make the game fun for everyone at the table.
