About the adventure
We'll be playing DnD 5e in my homebrew world. It's a flintlock setting which stands at the precipice of the Magical Industrialisation and alot of cultural upheaval and change. The players can explore the world, help topple governments or help uphold them... or just profiteer from all the chaos. There are also multiple places where we can start and plots that can be followed.

About me
Hey! I am Callisto, a 26-year-old nonbinary person living in Germany. For as long as I can remember, I loved to delve into the fantastical worlds of games and especially books. Worlds where a group of heroes ventured forth and fought the evil lingering in their world. Books like those of Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Paolini and Markus Heitz. As I grew up, I got introduced to various TTRPGs, starting with Shadowrun, but also into LARP, which I love to this day. I have now played TTRPGs for about 10 years and DM since I started to play DnD, which was about 7 years ago. During this entire time, my main focus was on Roleplaying and creating a story with the other players and my friends where we could immerse ourselves, just like in the stories that I loved as a child. I am looking forward to immersing you into my world and my stories and may the dice gods be in your favour!

Creating your character
We will be creating the characters on Foundry, as such at least the transfer will be in session 0. Any sourcebooks are fine as long as it is 5e, stats are standard array and we start at level 3. Feel free to think about your character beforehand or even already create it, that might make that part of session 0 faster and easier.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Think about what kind of character you would like to play. You do not need an account for the table, but we will be playing on a discord server that I will send you.
What Callisto brings to the table
I like to play rule of cool, if you have an idea you want to do, let me know even if it isn't supported by the rules and we can probably figure something out. I'll have music playing in the background of the game that can be individually adjusted.
Homebrew rules
I play with flanking being a +2 to hit and healing potions can be used as a bonus action, or alternatively as an action for the maximum healing gained.

How Callisto creates a safe table
In Session 0 we will not only go over the general setting and where we want to play and create our characters, but we will also go over how this is a safespace, our X,N&Os and elaborate on the content warnings. At any time you can step away from the game or request a break and we will do so or you can also text me privately about any potential problems that might arise. In addition to this every session will have a sort of debriefing at the end, where you can give me feedback to the session and critique.
